Meet Dinesh!

Dinesh grew up in Patur North Pallipalem, a village so small you can't even find it on Google Maps (yet — he tried adding it himself, and he's still waiting for approval). After moving to Chennai for his BTech, he began his HID journey as an intern, working on proof of concepts in platforms like Docker and AWS and presenting his work to leadership. Today, he's a full-time software engineer working in AI/ML.

His favorite part about HID is the feeling. "You remember how in school we used to think, 'Ah, tomorrow's Monday again'? I never really felt that here. There's always something new: new domains, new technology, new people." Readers, controllers and now AI all inspire curiosity and a love of learning for Dinesh.

When he's not exploring systems and software at HID, he likes to do a bit of everything, from volleyball and kabaddi to martial arts, dancing and trekking. He also enjoys watching movies in other languages. 🎬

Along the way, the people he works with have come to be more than colleagues. He says, "They became something closer to family, the kind who look out for you without being asked, who correct you when you’re wrong and still stand beside you, and who see you the same way on your off days as on your good ones. That’s the environment I’ve had here." And we're thankful to have cultivated that environment for employees like Dinesh. 💙 by @hidglobal

Even C-suite executives aren't safe from cyberattacks.

A few years ago, Apurva Dhanwantri, HID's Chief Information Security Officer, almost fell for a "shared document" link that looked just like it came from a trusted colleague. What brought the attack to a halt wasn't security software — it was a habit he'd built to stop and think, "Was I expecting this?".

To Apurva, that's what this month is all about.

"That moment is what Cybersecurity Awareness Month means to me: it's not about posters and reminders, but about building the reflexes that kick in when no one's watching."

One pause before you click could be the difference between cyber safety and a cyberattack, says Alex Villanueva, HID Senior Lead of Information Security Engineering.

This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we're spotlighting some of HID's professionals in the space. For Alex, there are a few small steps you can take to help you stay safe in a digital world: stay vigilant, report suspicious activity, and take a few moments to verify legitimacy before clicking or engaging with content that could potentially open you up to risk. Cybercriminals often emphasize a sense of emergency, so to Alex, "A moment of caution can make all the difference."

You may be familiar with the term, but cybersecurity goes well beyond its definition. Keeping yourself and your organization safe takes hard work and consistent habits from you and everyone around you.

Behind every breakthrough in STEAM is someone pushing the boundaries, and this year, HID Ireland was proud to help celebrate one of them. 💙

We sponsored the STEAM Award at the 2026 Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards, honoring one outstanding woman for her contributions to the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics field. If we’re not at an event, then we’re working hard to prepare for the next one. 💪

Last week HID attended the ASIAL Security Exhibition & Conference in Sydney, where visitors got first looks at new tech like HID Signo Décor readers and cable-free OMNIKEY Plug authentication.

Next week, HID is headed to Atlanta, Georgia for another exciting event that we look forward to every year. Any guesses where we’ll be? ⬇️ by @hidglobal

If you’ve ever tapped a card to access a space, you might already know HID — even if you don’t realize it.

For Phil Coppola, HID Mobile Evangelist and Director of End User Business Development, that’s one of his favorite ways to introduce someone to what we do. And after 25 years in the industry, he’s still finding new places where HID technology shows up. If you keep a close eye out, you may find us out and about, too. 🌟
