Our first Canmore 10K race together with sub 1! So thankful to my best friend/partner @chewy.chiu for pushing us (and for still being down to run despite his cold). 💛

It was an extremely chilly morning. Clouds and fog didn’t clear until much later.

This happened because the past version of me didn’t give up and I am so proud of her.

I was an overweight child growing up. Definitely not the fastest. Someone once told me I ran funny, and out of shame, I never tried again.

2026 has been a year of challenges, and I decided this would be the year I could CHOOSE my hard. I chose to try again. To be uncomfortable and be a beginner. Most importantly, to keep showing up even when it felt hard.

Running has taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and community. Progress is built in the quiet moments—by showing up, time and time again. And the beauty of running is that it doesn’t discriminate. There’s a place for everyone. Along the way, I found a community of people who lifted me up, challenged me, and inspired me to become a better version of myself.

Somewhere between the miles, setbacks, and small victories, I found something I wasn’t expecting: coming back home to myself.

Short n’ sweet snippets:

1. Hiked up St. Mark’s to start off the weekend. Suffered a little and functioned purely on sheer will. 🌞
2. Morning stroll at Granville Island eating seafood. 🚢
3. Lost a ball or two playing pitch and putt at Rupert’s. Shoes went from white to black real quick… ⛳️
4. Sharing laughter at Saku. 😋
5. Ending the day with Earnest Ice Cream. Probably the best ice cream I’ve ever had. PSL was top tier. 🍦 taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @hienvtran
