At the MACC Farm, we’re growing more than food—we’re growing a healthier future for our AUHSD student community. 🌎🥕 Our 2.5-acre farm at Magnolia High School uses regenerative farming practices to nourish the soil, support biodiversity, and grow fresh, nutritious produce.

Every Monday, our harvest is picked fresh and sent straight from the farm to AUHSD cafeterias, where it becomes part of meals served to students across the district. From soil to school lunch, it’s local, fresh, sustainable—and grown with our students in mind. 💚🌱 by @high_school_inc

MACC summer interns learned how to identify the skills, responsibilities, and hands-on experiences they gained throughout the summer and use them to strengthen their resumes. Thank you to Susan Davidson from High School Inc. for leading an informative session that helped students understand how to communicate their internship experience to future employers.

The MACC Summer Internship Entrepreneurship Cohort had the opportunity to pitch their creative business ideas to our Bank of America partners. Throughout the summer, students combined the sustainability of the MACC Farm with Blue Zones principles to develop businesses that promote healthy lifestyles and support the community.

Our interns did an amazing job presenting their ideas, answering questions, and putting their entrepreneurial skills into practice. Thank you to the Bank of America team for supporting our students, listening to their pitches, and providing valuable feedback, encouragement, and ideas to help strengthen their businesses.

On the evening of July 10, the MACC Summer Internship Program hosted an amazing Closing Celebration and Farm-to-Table Dinner. MACC summer interns had the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments alongside family, friends, and community members.
⠀
All three cohorts-Culinary, Entrepreneurship, and Public Health-came together to recognize an incredible summer filled with learning, teamwork, new experiences, and fun.
⠀
As part of their final project, the Culinary Cohort hosted the farm-to-table dinner and created an Asian Harvest-inspired menu influenced by the Blue Zones, communities around the world known for healthy lifestyles and longevity.

Our interns did an amazing job this summer at the MACC Farm and have so much to be proud of. We are excited to see how they continue to use the skills, confidence, and experiences they gained throughout the program.

The MACC Summer Internship Culinary Cohort put their skills into action by preparing and serving a beautiful breakfast for the AUHSD AIME Summer Internship Program Closing Celebration and Networking Breakfast. The students did an amazing job hosting more than 200 attendees and demonstrating the catering, teamwork, and hospitality skills they developed throughout the summer. We are so proud of their hard work and the professional experience they created for everyone in attendance!
