I may have forgotten to bump my shutter speed back up after the previous aircraft, but sometimes a happy accident makes for a better shot. I love how the MiG-17 stays relatively sharp while the background melts into a blur, capturing that incredible sense of speed and motion. by @highalphaairshows

Jason Somes @highalphaairshows put on an absolutely spectacular show and his skill as a pilot always amazes me. Taken on Saturday at the Apple Valley Air Show. This is definitely my favorite air show to photograph. I want to thank Susie @applevalleyairshow, Jodi, and the rest of her staff for taking such good care of us. At the very end of the show, we got a major wind and dust storm, with some rain, brought on by Tropical Storm Rachel. The light and atmosphere conditions are always so good and unique at the Apple Valley Air Show. It really is an honor to document this great community event. “God Bless America”. taken in Apple Valley Airshow by @highalphaairshows
