Despite all the work and stress of E3, there's nothing else I'd rather do, nowhere else I'd rather be.

This year was a huge leap, personally. Hosting stage interviews and live shows was dope as hell and I'm hyped to get better at this. And being at the Giant Bomb night show with all the people I've followed for years was a damn highlight. It's nice to feel like less of an outsider this time around. It used to be a dream, now it's real.

It's all because the homies n homegirls I get to work with been supportive as hell. Real talk, I wouldn't been able to do this without their help along the way. And when I look back at things like this, I always think of where I came from and represent Southeast SD wherever I go!

E3 2018 was one of those moments where I felt like I've come from nothing to something. But you gotta keep working for it. You don't call it a day and say you made it, the dream is to keep working for these moments. by @highammichael

It's been a long ass time since I've posted to IG, but this is the perfect time to do so.

Words don't explain what it means to actually hang out, talk, and get drinks with someone I've looked up to for years, someone I see as a tremendous inspiration. I understand we're all just people, but his work has influenced me so much that it completely changed my path in life.

My boy Danny O'Dwyer came to town to work on documentaries but spent time with his contributors in the area. He shared top-secret insight to his work, but took time to talk to me about what to expect when I start to work for GameSpot next month.

We share the sentiment that video games are much more than what's perpetuated en masse. Certain games have changed our lives in profound ways, and we want to tell that story.

I almost teared up talking about what it means to me to follow the GameSpot lineage. Why me? Who the fuck am I to break into such an exclusive industry and follow the footsteps of people I've read/watched for years?! Maybe I had too much to drink, but thank you for everything Danny! I'll see you in the Bay! by @highammichael

Thanks to @_pennywise for coming out to San Diego for three nights of shows, playing their first three records front to back and then some.

Songs I loved as a kid are even more relevant today as an adult. #PunksNotDead #Pennywise #UnknownRoad #AboutTime taken in The Observatory North Park by @highammichael

Rise Against is one of those bands I'll never miss when they come around. Everything you've felt; frustration, happiness, anger, gratefulness, all that comes out when they play those songs we know and love. And you'll always find me in the pit dancing, singing, and getting thrown around with everyone else.

Shouts out to my boy Tim McIlrath, been looking up to him for a long time. He been leading this band and putting everything he has into their music for 15 years.

I'll never forget what their music did (and still does) for me. And they always come in clutch with the shows in the Fall/Winter time! 😁

Tonight, I met one of my favorite rappers of all time, Big K.R.I.T. I've always been down with Southern hip-hop but KRIT does it like no one else.

He brings those southern instrumentals, melodies, and beats that come together to make real music. But he tops it off by writing songs that mean something; what it was like to struggle, grow up poor, be on the brink of giving up, make it in the music industry, still work to earn respect in hip-hop, and show appreciation for life. Yeah, he's got his songs about cars, money, and gettin turnt but it's about how that makes him feel and what it means to enjoy those things. He creates songs that make me think and feel something.
I thanked him for everything he's done and told him "MISSISSIPPI REPRESENT." He said "Can't be sayin that unless you from there!" So, shouts out to Biloxi, MS!

I've never been so hyped for a hip-hop show. I'm glad I was gettin down, singing, and rapping along with KRIT fans tonight.

I always come out to see #RxBandits whenever I can. Probably the 8th or 9th time live but it never gets old.

This time it was a little different with #CircaSurvive headlining, bringing us all back to our sad-boy high school days by playing all of #Juturna!

I got hella love for the bands I've listened to for so long and seen live so many times, they're still doing work, always making music, and putting on dope ass shows. taken in House of Blues San Diego by @highammichael

My favorite shot I took of last night of the most important band in the world, @badreligionband

I inhaled so much dirt and dust during their set. Like, exhausted, barely breathing, but s'all good! It's probably like the 15th I've seen them play but they get me hella hyped every damn time.

Shout out to Brooks for the RT tho!
