Stage 4 Cancer is what they’re saying (I hope they’re wrong) . That’s the nightmare my family and I heard on Monday evening at Jefferson County Memorial Hospital. It is on all my vital organs (liver, spine, lung, kidney, chest, groin, and pelvis), I’m a mother with 2 of the most beautiful children . Remington (13) & Briella (6) that know they’re the entire light to their mother’s world. I ask you all to pray for healing, restoration, and peace for myself, my family, and my entire oncology team. As I know I have not yet lived out my entire plan that God has for me. I feel it to my core that I am meant for so much more. A biopsy will be preformed on my liver next Tuesday. Next Thursday I meet with the University of Tennessee oncology team.

Funny how the moment you stop chasing validation, people start noticing your value.

I’m not here to be liked. I’m not here to be understood. I’m not here to make myself smaller so someone else can feel bigger.

I know what I bring. I know the battles I’ve survived. I know the woman staring back at me in that mirror.

As this World Cup begins to come to a close, I find myself in tears.

For just a little while, the world felt… different.

Millions of people from every language, every culture, every belief, and every corner of the globe stood shoulder to shoulder, not because we agreed on everything, but because we shared one moment. We celebrated. We cried. We cheered. We hoped.

It made me wonder…

If humanity can unite behind a game, imagine what could happen if we chose to unite for our children.

Maybe this wasn’t world peace. But for a moment, it was a glimpse of what it could feel like.

And that thought has shaken me to my core.

I don’t want my children to inherit a world that teaches them to fear each other. I want them to inherit one that remembers we’re all on the same team before we’re ever on opposing sides.

May we never stop chasing that possibility. ❤️🌍

As I sit and reflect , my heart is so incredibly full.

To be named People’s Choice, Most Photogenic, and 1st Runner Up is something I will carry with me forever , not because of the titles themselves, but because of what they represent.

After the past year… I truly took in every single moment on that stage.

There was a time I didn’t know what my future would look like. A time where standing under those lights felt impossible. So to stand there with gratitude, confidence, and purpose in my heart was a victory all on its own.

This journey was never just about me.

It has always been about showing women and the next generation that no matter what life places in front of you , your story does not end there. That respect, dignity, safety, and being heard are not privileges… they are expectations. And if my voice can help even one woman reclaim her life, then every step has been worth it.

A massive thank you to my two biggest supporters : my sweetheart @amartel4real and my son @growingupwithrem .

Thank you for believing in me when I was chasing a dream that sometimes felt impossible. Thank you for the encouragement, the patience, the late nights, the pep talks, and for reminding me to keep showing up. OUR VOICE 🤍

Some platforms are chosen.
This one found me.

I know what it feels like to survive things you never should have had to survive. I know what it feels like to carry the silence, the shame, the questions, and somehow still be expected to keep moving forward.

As both a domestic violence and sexual assault survivor, there were moments in my life where I thought what happened to me would define me.

It didn’t.

It gave me purpose.

And if the Lord has granted me more time on this earth, then I refuse to spend it asking why me, I will spend it asking who can I help next?

No diagnosis, no heartbreak, no battle I am currently facing will stop me from fighting for women who feel unseen, unheard, or afraid to believe life can be beautiful again.

Our Voice exists to remind every survivor: your story does not end where your pain began.

I will keep showing up.
I will keep speaking.
And until every woman knows she is worthy of safety, dignity, healing, and love

Some dreams are built in moments no one sees.

This past year challenged me in ways I never expected, but one of the greatest gifts to come from it has been the people who chose to see me anyway, beyond titles, beyond appearances, beyond circumstances.

Amanda , thank you for hearing my story, for seeing my heart, and for choosing to support not only my journey to Miss Florida, but the purpose behind it. Thank you for believing in me during a season that asked me to believe in myself even harder.

There are moments in a journey that remind you success is never built alone.

This year has stretched me in ways I never expected. There were seasons where the dream felt farther away than ever, and moments where I had to decide whether I would let circumstances define me or continue showing up anyway.
