If your nervous system is overwhelmed, if you’re craving sisterhood, or if something in you is curious… I’d love you to experience the transformative power of breathwork while being held in the presence of women.

Together, we’ll share ceremonial cacao, a guided conscious connected breathwork journey and sound integration, with an intimate sharing circle where you can show up exactly as you are.

There is no right way to experience this. You don’t need to have it all figured out, know what to expect or come with a particular intention.

You are welcome to breathe, feel, rest, express or simply be.

When was the last time you actually switched off?

Not lying on the couch scrolling.

Not watching Netflix while checking your phone.

Not going for a walk while listening to a podcast.

Actually disconnected.

No notifications. No work. No expectations. No constant stream of information demanding your attention.

Just you, your breath and your body.

On Saturday, September 12th, we’re hosting a Breakthrough Breathwork Experience at Total Fusion Platinum Newstead, using Conscious Connected Breathing to take you through a powerful guided breathwork journey.

This isn’t simply about taking a few slow breaths and trying to relax.

It’s an opportunity to step away from the noise, challenge yourself through the breath and create the space to reconnect with what’s happening underneath it all.

If you’ve been feeling stressed, anxious, disconnected, wired but tired, or like your brain never really switches off, this experience may be exactly the circuit breaker you need.

Open to TFP members and non-members.

Hit the link in our bios to learn more, check whether the practice is appropriate for you and secure your spot.

Are you feeling the shift towards doing less and nourishing more?

Or if you’re a teacher, are you noticing this too?

Every second person I talk to wants to run away to the country and build a self-sustainable life with their community.

It feels like so many of us are craving the slow life and want to return to simplicity. The noise in the world is loud, we’re tired, disembodied and stuck in the productivity trap.

Even with all my tools and practices, I’m feeling it big time.

It’s not quite a commune in the hinterlands but if you’re feeling the weight and the overwhelming pace of the world, join me for Restorative Yoga every Monday at 7:15pm Total Fusion Morningside. It’s time to rest!

I got you ❤️❤️❤️

A dynamic and active freestyle vinyasa flow to ease out the kinks and tightness. I’m moving with what feels good for my spine and hips after a long day.

I do love yin but sometimes my busy mind will find resistance and excuses 😂 Dispersing some energy always gets me out of my head and into body before slowing things down for the night. Movement helps… so does being outside 🌇

An overwhelmed nervous system doesn’t always freeze due to something insidious… but over time, if unaddressed, it becomes harder to resolve.

I was trying to film a little announcement right after I finished facilitating a 3 hours breathwork workshop, as well as having taught 3 classes prior. I hadn’t eaten a solid meal, I’ve been up since 4am, my brain was exhausted. But mentally and physically I had felt “fine” … until I was struggling to speak, move and think 😅

I happened to capture my body show me all the signs until my conscious awareness of it started to catch up.

If I dont catch it, I can quite easily stay disconnected from my body’s signals and completely go offline. The fatigue and fog lasts for days… often turning into a headache that won’t go away, functional freeze, lack of motivation. My brain tricks me into thinking sleeping all day will solve the problem.

For me, the activation energy to overcome that freeze is relative to how long I have been disembodied. It’s like the dose matches the severity of what has caused it in the first place.

So I try to do the most simple things, more of the time (I.e. vagal toning). On this day, I caught it in real time, so I did what available to me easily and with little effort.

🍃 Outside! Sunlight, bare feet, trees, people watching, literally 5 minutes of walking

🫁 Coherent breathing = 6 nasal breaths a minute with a relaxed belly and shoulders

Also what you didn’t see….

👩🏽‍🎤(Luckily for you) singing in the car

😌Lying on my belly

🫂Cuddles with my partner at home

🍔 A decent protein and nutrient filled meal with lots of carbs for my brain (I.e. Grilld lol)

Nervous system regulation is something we all need to do, regardless of how stressed you perceive yourself to feel. In fact our brain is regulating us most of the time without us knowing. If we go into a freeze, it’s just our brain seeing that we are at capacity already and trying to keep us safe.

The more we can recognise our bodies and signs, and do small daily things to increase our capacity to self regulate without getting to that freeze point, the less we have to deal with when moments of BIG stress. ❤️ by @higherbreathco

A humbling experience… I have so much respect for students who show up to my classes week after week! 🔥

I love ladder sequencing and wanted to share the main sequence that I taught, and a little about how I was inspired with my classes last month.

I also themed the month on Karmany Evadhikaras Te from the Gita, which is about having the right to your actions alone, but not the fruits of your actions. And while not being attached to the outcome, trying not to become attached to inaction. Each week was a different focus relating to staying present and devoted on your journey, regardless of what your goal is to avoid suffering… to consistently show up and participate in the “doing” for the sake of it, not for an achievement. It was one of my favourite themes, and if you’d like to know more about how I dived in deeper I’ll share more on my broadcast channel on Instagram!

Enjoy! ❤️
