‘Tron Uprsing’ is an animated 2D+3D cartoon released on Disney XD in 2012, with character design by Robert Valley and background illustration by Darren Bacon and Joon Ahn.

The world building elements in this show were nothing shy of immaculate and had me hooked within a couple episodes. Each personality and internal conflict of it’s characters were so complete and mature. The scaling of the background and foreground, balance of asymmetry and symmetry in shot compositions, the frame rate of the show, the flowy but calculated physics, and the cool but still radiant lighting of the Tron Uprising world truly made it’s environment feel infinite and as personified and elegant as a ‘computer programmed’ world can really get.

It’s no surprise that the game dev artists of early 2010s titles such as Halo and works from Blizzard blow me away with everything from their sketches to their triple A projects.

¡feliz cinco de mayo! I read about these photographs and the collective ASCO in Ms. Hall's class a little while ago and thought I'd share the story for Cinco De Mayo. A trio of chicano artists from East LA responded to the socioeconomic climate of the east LA art community and Chicano community through their multi-medium artworks. Read about the rebellious origin of these photographs in the last slide :) by @higherseratonin

Ethereal is a record producer and rapper from Atlanta, best known for his airy, videogame esc production developed alongside the collective Awful Records.

He's produced multiple of the lofi early single releases that Playboi Carti rose to fame from, including Beef, Lost, Nobody, Talk, Smash and more. He also has projects with Faye Webster, ABRA, Father, Archibald SLIM, etc.

He helped popularize the use of polyphonic videogame and anime soundtrack pad samples and vintage lead synth samples within the emerging subgenres of Trap in the early 2010s, even experimenting with the fusion of drum and bass.
(he's also a huge inspiration in my own music) by @higherseratonin

L.I.E (2001) cover

one of my favorite movies oat.

written by Stephen M Ryder, directed by Michael Cuesta, and one of Paul Dano's first incredible child performances.

Raw fiction stories and environments like this are what I live for. The discomfort it brought me was such an important effect because the issues/lessons of sexuality and class that those moments represented are very real especially in the culture of the area of NY that me and the writer, Stephen M Ryder grew up in by @higherseratonin
