a beautiful day to end the first hunt 🤘

Time to reset, reorganize & recommit to the plan.

My main take away from this week is that the amount of hunting pressure in the front country is a significant factor. While it was mostly good experiences, there were a couple of shady situations too. NGL.

Luckily, this is a pain I am familiar with and well built for. Hunters are certainly more willing to get off the beaten path then most but I’m also far more willing to hike my ass further into the backcountry if needed.

I’m pretty excited about how this is gonna push me. My favourite thing about the outdoors is how meritocratic it is when it comes to your willingness to go to the places that others can’t, to experience the things that others won’t.

As it gets colder, it will get harder and not only favours my chances even more. This is shaping up better than I had hoped!

On with the hunt. taken in British Columbia by @highgroundbynightfall
