hey all! we have some life travel (friends getting married!) this week and next, so the store will be closed this weekend. we are also rolling out to @bayonnerecordfair on october 17th, so we’ll be back open fully on october 18th!

happy to announce that HIGH LEVERAGE will be entering our “offline” era in the 2644-48 coral street retail space in east kensington, philadelphia. currently our sights are set on being open for browsing on september 5th.

a big thank you to @fireballprints for welcoming us into their space. we’re really looking forward to being able to create a record store and third space that is a net-benefit to the local area through music, records, and the diy community.

there is a lot to do, but we’ll have much more frequent updates from here on out until september. follow along here or on the email newsletter for the latest. we’re also seeing what we can cook up for our grand opening weekend.

the first year of HIGH LEVERAGE has been incredible and i have a sneaky feeling that year two will be even better. big love and immense gratitude for all of the new (and old) communities of people welcoming us back to philly after many years away. we’re excited to build a physical space that everyone can share in. more info coming soon, but first we’ve got to get to work. #highleverageoffline by @highleverageonline

driving over to bayonne NEW JERSEY today for the first @bayonnerecordfair - 12-5pm today. i’ll probably have 5 coffees. it’s been super busy with all things not record related lately, so excited to talk some RECORDS. we are also participating in the raffle and are excited to see some familiar and unfamiliar faces.

HIGH LEVERAGE @highleverageonline is a new record shop taking shape in Philadelphia's Kensington/Fishtown area, named after the high-stakes baseball term. The focus leans used punk, hardcore, and indie rock — genres the owner personally lives in — though the goal is a shop for the whole neighborhood. Rare 90s screamo originals from bands like Saetia and Indian Summer have already turned up, even before the official opening.

friends: we’re adjusting our hours to weekends only for the next couple of weeks while we work to bring on some part-time help. the goal is to have consistent daily hours by middle of october.

i’m reserving the right to occasionally open the shop for a few hours during the week in the meantime. please send a text if you are trying to come during the week and i’m happy to try to coordinate as best as possible.
