Knit Club might seem like a random thing for a big organisation to initiate but honestly it’s the smartest thing I’ve seen in a long time.

The community that has been created @southeveleigh on a Tuesday is something really special. Strangers turn up and leave as friends and a new hobby is unlocked that helps reduce stress (it’s science baby) and it even slows down the doom scrolling.

People even choose Knit Club day as one of their required office attendance days (if you want people to come to the office, give them a reason to come!)

With the potential for a charitable outcome (we can knit for your chosen local charity) it sure ticks a lot of budget boxes.

It might just be the vibe you didn’t know you needed.

We had a fabulous time with Rachel and Rod @thewoolshoprangiora shopping up a storm before heading to @waiparawinehouse for a fabulous long lunch, knitting included. by @hiimdeb.au

We had an incredible few hours @hurunuihills, who knew the pastures in sheep paddocks have 15 different varieties on seeds sewn??

We all loved it and the Mountain views were incredible (400km of alps in one view 🤯)

We learned SO much today @outlawyarn in Christchurch.

Half breed sheep (a NZ innovation)
Woolen spun vs worsted spun
The dye process
And so much more that I can’t even begin to explain!

We are absolutely mind boggled by all the generously shared information from Deb (yep another Deb!)

And quite a lot of yarn asked very nicely if it could come home with us (who were we to refuse?) by @hiimdeb.au

This could be my best business decision yet

No pressure, no deadlines just a bunch of women knitting in the countryside in NZ

It’s raining outside but we are cosy and warm in the most beautiful house

There’s chicken and leek cassoulet bubbling on the stove and a roaring fire.

It’s pretty close to my idea of perfect by @hiimdeb.au

Took my new @flockbeachstuff raincoat for a whirl today and it made me realise just how dark and drab the city was!

I love colour, I crave it. I wear a lot of colour and sometimes I choose a colour to knit with just because it makes my eyes happy
