It’s only delusional until you realise you’re living the future you once envisioned for yourself 🤍✨

When I met Jason 6 years ago, I had just come back from a year of solo travelling.

It was crystal clear to me that my time in the UK was coming to an end.
London was always meant to be a big part of my story, but never the full book.

So we spent the last few years getting remote jobs and figuring out where we’d want to live.
We visited Portugal, Spain, Scotland and even went to Bali to find our future home.

Ironically, it all fell naturally into place when we visited my family in Florence this January.

It was never our intention to move to Italy as the next destination, and wanted to save it for when we’re older.

Surely there were other places we needed to explore first.

but when we arrived in Florence, extended our trip twice and an apartment became available in our last week of being here, it was a literal no-brainer.

Sometimes, things don’t need to make sense for the brain, but if they feel easy and effortless in the heart, it’s worth following the breadcrumbs.
It took us exactly 24 hours to make a decision. And that’s only, because we “reeeally wanted to think about it.” 😂

Fast-forward to a month in, and things are as chaotic as they could possibly be, sorting out electricity and gas bills, figuring out which cafes to work from, where to meet people and make friends, how to go food shopping all whilst working, learning a new language and trying to make our home a home. It’s a lot.

But it’s also the best decision we’ve ever made.

This is not a happy “ending”, but a very happy “beginning”.

In less than a month, Sundays will look like this 🤍🇮🇹

Hard to put our feelings into words right now. Leaving the UK has been years in the making but it’s still a tough decision.
London was the making of me.
I moved here at 18 from a small town in Switzerland, and never looked back.

It’s given me education, family, soul friendships, love, a career, some of the best and toughest moments of my life, spiritual growth, creativity, perspective and - above all - an immense amount of courage. I’m leaving a version of me behind that could have comfortably continued and settled here, but some of you have been following me since day 1 (thank you 🤍) and know I just can’t sit still!

13 years later, the roots are calling me home, and it’s time to listen. 🇮🇹

Honestly, I don’t understand why everyone isn’t talking about this one. You can’t tell me this isn’t THE best way to spend a Sunday in Tuscany 🤍

Head over to #arezzo for Italy’s largest and oldest antiques market.

🗓 When: The first Sunday of every month and the Saturday before.
📍Where: Piazza Grande, Piazza San Francesco, and Logge Vasari.
🖼️ What: Over 500 vendors selling everything from jewellery to furniture, art and vintage clothes.

You’ll definitely have to negotiate the prices but isn’t that half of the fun already?

From 1221 to today 🤍✨

This is not a museum. It is one of the oldest pharmacies in the world.

Founded by Dominican monks, Santa Maria Novella has been blending remedies, perfumes and elixirs in Florence for over 800 years and opened to the public in 1612.

Before that, the monks created herbal preparations for their convent and for the Medici court.

Think frescoed rooms, hand painted apothecary jars, centuries old formulas and scents still made the way they were in the Renaissance. 🤍✨

I always end up here on a trip to Florence 🇮🇹 And if you are here right now, there is a cheeky David Hockney exhibition inspired by Fra Angelico that is absolutely worth seeing 😍🙏🏼
