Grace Marshall is an artist (b.2002, Stoke-on-Trent) working mostly with cameras, projectors and masking tape. She thinks mostly about place and time. ‘Was/Now’ is her first solo exhibition and complies selected works from the past two years including actions, collected objects and video. All work was created in response to self written instructional scores with set parameters for the performance. This pertains to the idea that observation, repetition, blind belief and simulacrum of mundane experience can result in profoundness. All work welcomes continuity of creation from others. Seeing and doing something rather than nothing in our infra-reality.

UNTHINKABLE 2026, HULL

returning to Hull this week for Unthinkable, Hull's own film, art and sonic festival.

my film INTERLUDE will be showing as part of the 'Unseen Images' exhibition in the upstairs gallery space @humberstreetgallery alongside experimental films and the John Smith retrospective (!) Girl Going Hull.

'Unseen Images' opens tomorrow at 6pm and is showing from 6th-11th October.

big thank you to @unthinkable.hull for having me for the 3rd year running. excited to return to Hull and also catch my favourite artists playing the @industrialcoast curated night at @hari_artsresearch on Thursday 6th October as part of the festival.
