We arranged a boat to continue the festivities for Rudi’s debut album. On Saturday the 8th of August, we get together on the Péniche Eliane boat in Anderlecht!  Rudi will play live, spin records and bring his Public Sound Soundsystem. We’re organising two get-togethers to celebrate Rudi J’s upcoming debut album.

Friday the 10th of July at @het_bos is the first one coming up! Rudi will play live, spin records and bring his own Public Sound Soundsystem for this special occasion, allowing these bass-heavy constructions to be heard exactly as intended: loud, warm and immersive.

Joining the night are Sopa do Dia, the collaborative project of @jokeleonare and @luispsg , whose open-minded selections move freely between genres and moods, and @hill_men (Souvenirs From Imaginary Cities Travellers), guiding the evening further with carefully curated records.

An evening of bass culture, dub mutations, concrete flowers and deep-zone wanderings.

For the second one, we head to Brussels on Saturday 8th of August. We’re throwing a boat party in Anderlecht. More info about this soirée very soon!

Meakusma and Het Bos are happy to announce a release party for Viola Klein's new remix EP, New Chapter. The record features remixes from source material of Viola's 'Conifdant' EP and her collaboration with the Sabar Ensemble Diop from Saint Louis, named 'We', released on Meakusma in 2024 / 2020, expertly rearranged and reinterpreted by Whodat, Kassem Mosse, Nidia, and Viola herself. It is a further descent into Deep House, Leftfield, Kuduro, and Mbalax. A deep dive into rhythmic and exhilarating instances of open-ended beauty.

With DJ sets by house music auteur Viola Klein, Príncipe Discos member Nídia, and Hill Men, and a live set by house music legend Kassem Mosse, this one will be an exploration into some of the most exhilarating underground club moods of today. The night starts gently with sets in the bar by INA and Sopa Do Dia.

Next Thursday, the first of May, we celebrate the fifth Souvenirs from Imaginary Cities release at Het Bos.  Simon B will be presenting the album ‘Schönen Abend’, joined live by Adia Vanheerentals and Midas Heuvinck.

Brussels-based improviser and accordionist Suzan Peeters is also joining to take you on a journey.

Selectors Allon Kaye and Hill Men are playing tunes.  First copies for sale since it’s also the official release day <3  Starting at 20h. taken in Het Bos by @hill_men
