Diwali festive season with @vardhmanknittingyarn in red and yellow ❤️💛

This year I wanted to knit a festive stole featuring intricate lace designs that capture the warm glow of diyas and the sparkling geometry of fireworks.

The biggest question was: What yarn could bring this vision to life? I needed something light, bright, easy to work with, and strong enough to hold both a soft drape and crisp lace structure ....

🤩🤩 Vardhman 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘆 premium yarn !!🎊

It is a 100% Mercerized Cotton, comes in balls 75g/350m, yarn weight - 1 / super fine, recommended crochet hook/needle Size - 2.5mm

The result - stunning color, gorgeous shine, and turnedout in the most beautiful, crisp open lace after blocking.

I couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

▪︎Yarns - Smiley premium crochet yarn
❤️ SMH002 💛 SMD005
▪︎Needles - 3.25mm

A little heads-up from our knitting studio - 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐘𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐬

The cost of wool and acrylic yarn has gone up, and our new knitwear will unfortunately reflect the higher yarn prices.

But we still have a 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿, 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗮𝗿𝗻 — and we’re offering them at a special discount before they’re gone.

🎁 Use coupon code: 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗘𝟮𝟬𝟬
to get your Rs. 200 discount (per beanie) on the remaining ones.

Happy granny square day!

I’ll admit—I’m a total knitter at heart and don’t usually pick up the crochet hook. But making that granny square cardigan was such a fun, refreshing detour!
The texture, the colors, and watching all those individual squares stitch together into a wearable piece was an absolute joy.

Never say never to granny square! 😅

Have you ever made a teapot sweater??

My current WIP is exactly that! A super cute, warm, and cozy teapot sweater. :))

Even though it’s only halfway done, it’s already so adorable — can't wait to finish it! ☺️

June and July were all about the Obba sweater—taking its time on and off the needles to become my favorite monsoon companion 🌧️🧶

Knitted to order using @lopiknitting yarn (from customer) that was an absolute dream to work with.

Summer Knitting Retreat 2026 - diaries

Day 2 brought us the perfect summer morning: bright blue skies, warm sunshine, and a fresh mountain breeze.

We moved our morning session outside to the shade of the gazebo, surrounded by chirping birds, to dive headfirst into the basics of brioche knitting. By afternoon, we found ourselves nestled under an apple tree, enjoying cozy knits and sharing our favorite knitting tips and tricks.

Finishing the day with a group photo in the orchard reminded me just how special this community is.

Endless gratitude to @vardhmanknittingyarn for giving us the chance to experience their lovely yarns, and to @hillcottages for hosting us.

Memories to cherish ❤️
