In the second half of September, Harprit and his team did another round of big renovations, building a new stage and more isolation around the stage. This cost a lot of work and effort but also a lot of money. So on the 29th of October we’ll have a benefit night so we can pay those bills with three amazing hardcore punk acts with a strong DIY mindsets.

None other than @oustpunx were the first to step up to the plate. Known for ferocious shows where singer Sanne takes whole hikes while screaming with furious rage against an unjust world, in the faces of whoever is in the general vicinity of the venue.

Returning to Hillyweird is @botmes666 from Zwolle. They recorded their live record our previous venue and we’re super hyped to have them back. High energy hardcore punk with satirical Dutch lyrics eviscerating hypocrisy and bigotry in the country and the world.

Fresh on the scene, @yard_fight_hc play crossover beatdown with two vocalists. Adding some local flair is their guitarist who hails from Hilversum.

Massive thanks to the bands for doing this for us. Let’s show our gratitude by turning up, support Hillyweird and see some great bands while you’re at it!

Time for anther LotD afterparty full of noise, grace, chaos and beauty with @insidertradingband from the UK and reppin' Rdam @thrilledband and @doomfever.fm !

@leftofthedialrotterdam is an amazing festival with a kindred spirit to what we do, we love visiting the fest and bring some of the festival back with us for you to enjoy. In previous years we had bands like Pamphlets, Gloin, Fuzz Lightyear and more. But what about this year?

Insider Trading hails from Scotland with a mix of post-rock, slow core and brooding post-hardcore like Slint, Black Country New Road, Squid and more. Songs that start with restrained talk-singing until it bursts into intense emotional climaxes.
Doom Fever injects their shoegaze with 90's alternative and grunge, akin to our own Crashing.
Thrilled has proven at Hillyweird before why they are considered one of the most promising Rdam bands with their explosive blend of fuzz, noise and drums contrasted with delicate passages just to dump a tsunami of noise on your head again. Amazing stuff. No wonder they opened for bands like RIDE and They Are Gutting A Body of Water.

So don't miss out on this beautiful line up full of guitars on Sunday 25th of October!

Shoutout to @maxim.linker for another great poster ❤️ taken in Hillyweird by @hillyweird

14 november presenteren wij ons zelfgebouwde eendaagse festival in @hillyweird in Hilversum.

📆 Zaterdag 3 oktober 15:00-22:00
📍 Vonk, Hilversum

October 4th Hillyweird reopens with a new stage and after more renovations! And somehow @junejunejuly_band are playing at this shakedown too! After their amazing show earlier this year, now they are bringing two more screamo bands from their scene: @pennwoodrd and (inhales) @ipracticesayingsorry to you so i can do it in front of the mirror one day. Come out and celebrate this next iteration of our venue with us, show your appreciation for the volunteers who've built it and go nuts in the pit! Rumors are some media will be present so we gotta represent. We can't wait to see you all again!
