A final look at Monuments of Stillness on The Magnificent Mile! 🎨

Ten monumental sculptures by renowned artist Carole A. Feuerman transformed Michigan Avenue into an open-air gallery, captivating visitors with their extraordinary realism and intricate details.

Exploring themes of resilience, reflection, and the human experience, the exhibition invited visitors to pause, take a closer look, and experience public art in a new way.

As the sculptures prepare for their next destination, we extend a special thank you to Carole A. Feuerman and Hilton Contemporary for bringing this remarkable exhibition to Chicago.

Carole Feuerman casts her sculptures directly from live models, then builds up color and translucency across dozens of hand-applied resin layers to match the exact tone of skin.

Eyelashes and hair are set individually using natural fur. The water droplets, a technique she developed, are formed separately in clear resin and placed one by one. A single figure can take up to a year to complete.

Hilton Contemporary presents a selection of Feuerman’s work at Chicago Art Fair, October 7–10.

Why do galleries and artists choose Intersect Aspen? 🤔

For the opportunity to truly connect with thoughtful collectors, a globally minded community, and people who have time to engage deeply with the work.

Exhibitors value a fair where artists can stand out, advanced work is appreciated, and meaningful conversations unfold at a more considered pace. They return to introduce new artists to Aspen, reconnect familiar names with collectors from across the country and build lasting relationships with the community.

They also recognize Intersect Aspen’s commitment to its exhibitors, from thoughtful organization and collaborative partnerships to meaningful marketing that helps galleries reach new audiences and generate sales.

This spirit of discovery helped make 2026 our most successful edition yet: record attendance, record artwork sales, 30 artists in attendance and 15 programs across the fair and Aspen’s leading cultural spaces.

What brings you to Intersect Aspen—the artists, the conversations or the thrill of discovering something unexpected?

After captivating audiences beneath the Eiffel Tower, Carole Feuerman’s sculptures make their first splash in Aspen 🌊

This week, ”The Golden Mean” and ”Christina” were unveiled at the base of Aspen Mountain, creating a remarkable dialogue between art, athletics, and the landscape that defines Aspen.

A pioneer of hyperrealism, @CaroleFeuerman has spent decades pushing the boundaries of sculpture through works that capture both physical precision and emotional depth. Together, these two installations offer visitors the rare opportunity to experience different facets of her celebrated practice in one of the world’s most iconic mountain destinations.

Presented by @HiltonContemporary, these museum-quality public installations reflect our commitment to bringing world-class art beyond the fair walls and into the heart of the Aspen community.

📍Upper & Lower Gondola Plaza on view through August 2.

Visit the installations, then continue the experience at Intersect Aspen. Tickets available at the link in bio.
