PATENT #3‼️‼️‼️ Somebody pinch me because this has got to be a dream! 🥹

Either way it’s a great story to tell the grandkids one day! Did you hear that story about a 🐼 that rode a 🦁 back in 2024?!! LOLOL

Soooo how did I end up on this lion?! Well, over a decade ago when I was dreaming of getting a patent for my heel tip invention I told myself, “one day when I get my patent, I’m going to ride the lion @artinstitutechi .” I have no idea why this popped in my head but it made me laugh so hard, so I made a promise to myself that I would hop my @$$ up on that lion and ride it when I got my patent— so that’s just what I did!!

It was a major team effort to pull this off— those lions are F^€kin HUGE!

Let me tell you what I think— THIS IS FOR SURE GOING DOWN AS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE. 🥹

To have this be real, like, a really real thing, not just an idea I’m spinning my wheels trying to figure out and bring to life— it’s mind-boggling to me.

This has got to be a dream!

which means 100’s of MILLIONS of pairs of heels won’t be thrown into landfills. I feel like I’m walking on clouds saying that!

I didn’t start this project with “saving the planet” on my mind, but it’s so special and exciting to see a simple idea evolve into something that will be so impactful. That’s why I’m saying this. You have no idea what one silly thing in your head can become if you just put it in motion. I was just a waitress, artist, sales rep, door girl, hardworkin momma, pissed off that my heel tips kept busting- Lol! Who could have imagined all this?!

The time, energy and love I’ve invested in this over the past decade makes me feel so proud because I never quit. And trust me, there were many many times I was like why the F am I still doing this?! I mean just last month I had a full on cry fest still trying to figure all this out, and then like lightning crashing down, everything just clicked into place. And now, here I am, ready to take over the high heel tip industry. (Over the next few years.) Life is so funny. 🤭

I’ve come this far on my own (with the help of my fantastic team standing beside me) but I really do need more help now. I’m looking for good people to be part of this with me. That’s my only criteria- you have to be a good person.

Hello friends, I’ve missed you!! Here is one of the big projects I have been secretly working on over the past year—

It’s my honor to present to you...

THE HAND OF GOD
__________________

The Hand of God is a tribute to Michelangelo’s, The Creation of Adam. I started creating this piece at the beginning of the quarantine in Mid-March 2020 and finished working on it by the end of July.

This hidden tryptic represents the collective downfall and entrapment of the human spirit as it became locked down in the Covid nightmare. Throughout this time, we all shared a deep desire to rise up and reconnect with one's higher sense of self. Through darkness, there will always be light, you just need to have faith. Find the power within yourself to restore the human spirit, not just your own. Collectively, reach towards the heavens and reunite with your internal God-like essence, lending a hand to all.

This installation is located at the magnificent newly developed complex @cinecitystudios next door to @cinespace_chicago if you’re interested in checking it out!
