The greatest role I’ll ever have in this life is being a father. Nothing could have prepared me for the love, purpose, and joy that comes with holding my son and watching him grow. Every moment, every smile, and every little milestone is a reminder of how blessed I truly am.

None of this would be possible without my incredible wife. Thank you for bringing our beautiful boy into this world, for your strength, your sacrifices, and for riding through every moment of this journey with me.

Sunny being your dad will always be my greatest achievement. I hold you so tight right now because time flys and I don’t wanna miss any moment with you. I know you will do great things in life and I be right by your side, holding your hand, guiding you in the ways I can. You are what your name is to your mother and I just a big ball of sunshine and you cannot let anyone dim that light. I love you son.

Duke University and many other studies say that a woman carrying a baby requires an energy expenditure comparable to running a marathon every single day for 40 weeks. And my wife did that everyday last year to bring our son into this world. So this year I’m challenging myself to run half marathons and marathons to honor my wife and what she went through. They are my reason why and I’m thankful to be married to the best wife, best mom one can ask for. 2026 got a whole lot of marathons coming. by @hindrixbrown

In Psalm 127:3-5, God refers to children as being a reward and that a man is blessed when having them. When Sunny came into this world, everyday I thank God for blessing us with him. He truly is a reward. He makes me into a better person and pushes me to be the best father I can be. I love you my boy Sunny ❤️

There was a moment
quiet as snowfall,
when I saw you
holding our child
and the world became softer around the edges.

Not because everything was perfect,
not because the fear disappeared,
but because you stood there
with tired eyes and gentle hands
loving someone with every piece of yourself.

I watched you become more than the woman I married.
More than laughter in the kitchen,
more than late night talks,
more than the girl I fell hopelessly in love with.

You became home.

The way you hold Sunny so close,
the way you check twice if sunny warm before we go outside,
the way your voice changes
into something impossibly tender
it undoes me every time.

And suddenly I understand
why people write poems about mothers.

Because there is something beautiful
about watching the person you love
pour sleepless nights, patience, worry, and wonder
into a tiny heartbeat.

I see you carrying love
even when you’re exhausted.
I see your strength
in the smallest moments nobody applauds.
And I wish you could see yourself
the way I do.

Because to our child,
you are safety.
You are comfort.
You are the first version of love
he will ever know.

And to me
you are somehow even more beautiful now
than the day I first saw you.
