What a gorgeous day to come support local artists in Downtown Hingham. Thank you to the HHS band for kicking things off this afternoon with a wonderful performance. Students wore jerseys and shirts from the many other programs that they participate in to highlight as Mr. Cincotta shared that “Our arts students represent ALL students!” Students with all kinds of interests can find fulfillment and connection through the arts.

Many thanks also to @hinghamartsalliance for hosting our school performing groups at the performance tent again this year!

Musicians and artists have been test driving the pilot flex block schedule model at HHS this week. It’s been great to see so many take advantage of the time in arts spaces!

Thank you @hingham_education_foundation for funding a large digital visual art display for the cafeteria, as well as a large display for the main lobby to highlight school events and student work. Thank you also to the @hinghamhighpto for funding several digital visual art displays, as well as individual sized and large size easels for display and classroom use. Over the past several years, the investments in these display opportunities has allowed us to show rotations of student artwork and feature far more pieces of student work daily. We are so proud of our student artists and grateful to the teachers, PTO, and HEF for their support in increasing the visibility of our fabulous student work.

Thank you @hinghamhighathletics and @hinghamhighfootball for recognizing band teacher Brian Cincotta with the honor of ringing the bell at tonight’s HHS football game! Brian’s impressive 21 year career of building a positive and collaborative arts community in Hingham has had such an impact, evidenced not only by his largest ever HHS pep band this year, but by many other successes as well. Go Hingham High Football AND Hingham Arts!!!!

Pep band keeps growing each year! Thanks to the 65+ band students who showed up to support our Hingham community at the football game last Friday. Thanks also to @hinghammpa for providing a pizza dinner and an opportunity to connect before the game!

This weekend Brian Cincotta will be hosting our second annual Hingham High School Band Alumni Concert, featuring students who have been a member of HHS band ensembles across his twenty-one years in the district. The concert will be free and open to the public, and we would love to see you in attendance this Saturday at 6:00pm in the HHS auditorium. This concert will feature nearly 60 former students (two of whom are now music educators), and former HHS band director Doug Wauchope as well! Come join us in a fantastic evening of community connection and celebration! All are welcome!
