Step by step the new tool box is coming together. The foam inserts are cut to fit the box. The tool layout is sorted. The order of these layers are; lid, split layer, lower layer, and base.

Cutting the tool recesses into foam will be a new experience. Likewise, installing the gas struts to support the lid. I have to cut the split layer in half before cutting its recesses.

I'll cut out the tool recesses in all four layers next I also have to cut the backing ABS boards for all four layers. I won't glue those on until the tool recesses have been successfully cut. I also have to glue the support brackets into the case for split and lower layers.

Update to follow.

Thanks for guidance from @lanternerouge504 and all the people @toolboxwars. by @hinkydinkytime

Sunday was a good day at the Lawrence Bicycle Club's annual "Octoginta" road ride.

Posing with celebrities at bike events is a thing. This woman; allegedly Katie Horner, who in real life presents the weather on Channel 9 in Kansas City asked me to pose for a photo. I appreciate my public and always take time for my fans (apparently her family shopped at Hinky Dinky when she was a tot). by @hinkydinkytime

I handled roving sag for the 50k route at Tour de Chicken Creek on Saturday and managed to get some photographs taken before the day went somewhat sideways with two, simultaneous medical emergencies. I did manage to safely escort all of the remaining 50k riders that waited for me on course, past the dog that attacked one of our people. This morning I learned the word "FRAGO" from @lanternerouge504 Yep, I did that. Thanks, Pete! by @hinkydinkytime

Hey, WFMU Listeners, it's the October Hellraiser and I'm hauling my bike all the way from Kansas to the Mothership! On Halloween morning (October 31) Dave Mandl (host of "it's Complicated" on Monday nights) and I (host of "Hinky Dinky Time" on WFMU's Give the Drummer Radio) will be hosting the first ever WFMU bike ride.

We'll be riding north along the Hudson River Greenway along the western edge of Manhattan from Battery Park to Tiny Beach. We'll then convene at Tryon Public House. Those that wish to can join me for the ride back south where I'll catch the ferry back to Jersey City.

There's a link to all the details on the "links" link in my bio.

The Lawrence Bicycle Club's October Cyclefest is next weekend. I'll be doing roving sag on the 50k route at the Tour de Chicken Creek on Saturday, then riding Octoginta on Sunday. I reconned the gravel course this morning and took some photographs of some of my cycling pals that pre-rode it. Maybe I'll take some more next weekend. If you see me, say "hi"...or hollar for help, as the situation warrants. by @hinkydinkytime
