We return home to the UK with 10 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 7 bronze medals. Having received best large group AND best small group at the gala as well as best female, best male, runner up male and runner up trio.

Not every number went the way we hoped at DWC …

Sadly we had to dance out of section for this one and it wasn’t the result we’d dreamed of. It may even have been HIPA’s lowest scoring group routine in our history, but that doesn’t change how proud I am of these incredible kids.

You stepped onto that stage, gave absolutely everything, and danced your hearts out. As a teacher, that’s all I can ever ask for. Sometimes things just aren’t meant to be, and that’s part of life!

So here they are… our Junior Small Group Showstopper, The Flintstones. This was so fun to do 😆

LO SIENTO 🤍

Another duet from DWC I’m really proud of, danced by the wonderful @jaxfenner & @hattie_performer who were just gorgeous together! 😍😍

They placed 6th with 91 points- another fantastic score that would have medalled in the other half of the section and I’m just overjoyed with the performance they gave! Particularly as they were some of the youngest competitors ✨

Proud of you both- thank you for bringing this to life beautifully and being a joy to teach and work with 🫶🏼

BIG FINISH ✨

So proud of the superstars that are @alexadrakes and @evamarieburt for absolutely smashing their jazz duet with only one real rehearsal! Testament to the stylish, accomplished little professionals they are 🤍

They came 5th place in what was supposed to be an incredible section, with a score high enough for a medal should they have been drawn in the other half!

You smashed it girls and I couldn’t be prouder of the performance you gave. Two absolute powerhouse, jazz queens 👸🏻👸🏻
