Next Friday we’re taking it back to where HIPJOINT first began… Dalston’s Club Makossa!

In just two weeks time I’m throwing a big ol’ HIPJOINT birthday party back where it all began! But as the babe turns three, it’s also come time for her to rest for a bit… Come along and celebrate three wild years of HIPJOINT and say your farewells for now!

A very long overdue recap and thank you to all those involved in the HIPJOINT Jazz series earlier this year!

My sincerest love to @thegreyhound.uk team for helping me to actualise my vision for these nights and to @stressthefuckless for pushing me and booking me. You’ve set an exciting ball rolling for the future of HIPJOINT…!

Huge appreciation to all you guys who checked out the Peckham speakeasy! Plenty of cards were played and even more Sipjoint cocktails were drink-ed… good to know you can all shmooze and booze midweek as well as at the weekend x

And finally, clicks and foot taps to all the insanely talented young musicians who’s came down to the smokey basement, your virtuosity left me in awe every night.

The jazz will return in some form one day… but until then, find your swing fix somewhere else you filthy jazzers!

A glance back at our get together a couple weeks ago. What a time we had. A big thank you from ourselves at frogwork and HIPJOINT, to all of you who came along and helped make this one for the books. Class to see so many fond faces as well as new ones!

A special thanks to all of our performers and the round the clock team at @mot.ldn . You were magic.

Last call for jazz down the dog before we swap sax for sunburns. HipJoint Jazz is back next Wednesday 29th April, and yes we got their season finale before GTA VI, so no pressure… just the small matter of goin’ out with a baaaang.

They’ve locked in Sula Trio, and yeah… these lot are the real deal. Proper slick, proper soulful, the kind of band that makes you forget you’re in a pub and not some fancy Soho joint. Been tearing through the London jazz scene, Ronnie Scott’s on the cards, and now landing in our basement for one last slap of the bass before summer nicks them off us.

Free entry, cold pints, smooth sounds and a room full of people pretending they know about jazz (of course you dooo). Last one before the break, don’t miss it!

It’s the season finale of HIPJOINT Jazz! and to bring our residency at The Greyhound to a close, we’re bringing you a trio that’s on everybody’s lips, @sulatrio !

I first caught Sula at last year’s We Out Here festival. Unaware of the blistering sunburn I was developing, I sipped an ice cold whiskey and ginger beer as I became enamoured by the trio’s skill, charm and style. Safe to say I’ve been trying to lock them down for HIPJOINT ever since!

Widely known in the scene, they’ve been shooting through the London jazz sphere fast, with their Ronnie Scotts debut early next month.

If you’ve been meaning to swing down to our secret Peckham jazz lounge then nows ya last chance!

Frogwork and HIPJOINT come together to bring you a big ol bash at the one and only @mot.ldn. With spring time upon us, it’s only right we bounce back and inject some new life into your late night endeavours.

Attention Attention, @jiminy._.watts is in town and raring to bring the roof down. Creator of @emotional._.intelligence_, Jiminy is a captivating selecta and possesses fascinating range, the full breadth of which will be ready at your disposal.

The boys at @midnight_lounge_ are here to grace us with their sophisticated deep grooves. Get down to witness a synergy behind the wheel, you will thoroughly enjoy watching unfold.

Holding it down for the ladies @livvyloo__c is inside. Co-founder of @cameltoeevents, liv has helped develop a coveted all female club night. Recent stints at @brixtonradiolive shed light on the funky dark acidic rhythms she often dabbles with.

@lemonadeandlimeade are back representing HIPJOINT, and now also Frogwork we are delighted to say. Another power duo, these citrusy fellas are on course to throw the proverbial cat amongst the pigeons once again.

@edsharrp and @charliecorvair will also be on hand to shower you down with their dope sound super soakers. Mayday, you’re in the splash zone. Dress appropriately.
