no more reel recap of 2024. it was a wild one though.

suffered great losses, lived in fear that my career was finished, and I was operating on an overall distrust of people.

out of pain and heartache, thanks to the beautiful support group around me, I started on a completely new venture as a business owner.

HI Style Media was created from turmoil, but has transformed into something so beautiful. Something so incredibly unexpected yet I can’t imagine my life before it anymore.

I have so much people to thank for helping me through 2024, but I have to send a special shout out to my ‘ohana, especially my sister @lehuanani_l , my mom (breast cancer survivor in 2024!!!🤍) @canz1_808 and my aunty, @time2inu . mahalo for being my rocks and always encouraging me beyond what I see for myself.

my sister @lehuanani_l has especially been my biggest advocate and investor. helping to keep me pono, and and is seriously the biggest cheerleader a human could ask for.

mahalo nui to everyone who believed in me and I hope that I can give back to the community with the opportunity I’ve been blessed with.

as for 2025, you know who you are, we all about to make some magic!!!

There’s something beautiful about a space that invites people to create together.

At @upena_production_network in Kapālama Kai, storytelling and mentorship go hand in hand. Founder @shawnpimental and business partner @histylemedia opened their doors to give local creatives a place to collaborate, build skills and grow their voice whether it be in music, podcasting, or film/video production.

The name “‘Upena” means “net” — a nod to connection, community and the belief that when we lift each other up we all move forward.

Mahalo to the many artists, mentors and learners shaping Hawaiʻi’s creative future in our kaiāulu!

Seattle Scenes

1. Flying over the newly renovated waterfront, same iconic wheel.
2. Seattle Water Taxi which takes you from Alki to the city in just a few minutes. My favorite commute.
3. In high school we watched a documentary on Pike Place, specifically the fish market. I can’t remember what it was about though 😆. Here’s Jason the fishmonger + owner 🐟 @pikeplacefish
4. Caught these guys before the market opened. They were sweet to offer me some smoked salmon while they were setting up - bugga was onz!
5. Native Tinglit artist @hoss.harmony . Mahalo for this original! Find her at Pike Place.
6. Aunties up early in the morning setting up their flower shops.

8. Seafood everywhere.

FULL CIRCLE MOMENT ☀️ Two years ago, @shawnpimental was working on the production team for a @thegreen808 concert with special guest @teddyswims at the Waikīkī Shell. @mattybizzle had heard that he and @justinkawikayoung were starting a new band and wanted to hear some demos.

The rest is history.

The debut album has made a splash and @sevensunstheband opened for Teddy Swims at the very place that now manager Matty Hazelgrove first heard the music! Grateful for the journey and excited for what’s to come 🙌🏽 by @histylemedia
