### 🚆 SEPTEMBER IS RAIL SAFETY MONTH

**See Tracks? THINK TRAIN! 🚂**

Railroad crossings are part of everyday life here in Tulare County, but they can also be extremely dangerous.

This September, let’s all do our part to stay safe around railroad tracks:

🚦 **Obey all crossing signals and gates**
🚶 **Never walk or bike on railroad tracks**
🚗 **Never try to beat a train through a crossing**
📵 **Stay alert and avoid distractions near tracks**
⚠️ **Remember: trains can’t stop quickly**

California has one of the highest numbers of rail-related fatalities in the nation, making awareness especially important. TCAG continues to promote rail, pedestrian and bicycle safety throughout Tulare County. ([Tulare County Association of Governments][1])

**One life lost is one too many.**
