Passed the online game? This time, the Check-in comes to you 💻

The next Check-in is online on Wednesday 21 October, 16:00–17:30. Hear what the studies and the Selection Sprint are really like, and ask our current students anything you want to know.

You’ll need a validated Check-in to register for the Selection Sprint. Book yours at intra.hive.fi. by @hivehelsinki

We’ve never had a dedicated content creator. In seven years. Time to change that. 👋

We’re looking for a freelance content creator to show the world what actually goes on at Hive Helsinki.

What we need
➡ Short-form video for TikTok and Instagram
➡ Video comes first, but photos, carousels and stories are welcome when they fit

In case you don’t know us
🔷 Finland’s first tech school that combines software, product and design thinking, entrepreneurship, and career opportunities in tech
🔷 Community-based: no teachers, no classes
🔷 Project-based: our students own and build full projects
🔷 On-site, because we believe in humans working with humans
🔷 Non-profit, free of charge and open to anyone 18+

We’re not looking for the fanciest equipment or the flashiest editing. We’re looking for someone who can turn a message into something people actually want to watch.

Day one of the August 2026 Selection Sprint. 🐝

Doors opened at ten. By lunch the clusters were packed with people who'd only just met and were already helping each other out.

More photos and the full report are on the blog, link in bio.

Welcome to the new sprinters, and good luck. We're really glad you're here. 💛 by @hivehelsinki

Next week, the Selection Sprint begins 🐝

For three weeks, campus fills up with people who barely know each other, building software together with no teacher in sight. Weekends included.

It's intense, and it's meant to be.

Nobody's asking where they've been. Just what they'll do next.

To everyone about to start: good luck 💛 by @hivehelsinki

Once a month at Hive, we play a game together. A few options are lined up, everyone votes, and whatever wins is on. It’s called Game Of The Month. So far we’ve battled through Tetris, Mario Kart, and Bomberman. This month the vote landed on Worms W.M.D.

The mastermind behind all of this is our student Antti, who decided this should be a thing and has run it every month since. Nobody assigned it. That’s kind of the whole point of this place.

May the best worm win! 🐛🪖 by @hivehelsinki
