yay another half marathon in the books!! Very very thankful for this training block and a shiny 3 min PR ✨✨✨ Each step of this race was infused with gratefulness and it was a celebration of a new spring season!! What a joy to have also raised enough $$ to fund two+ ‘Girls on the Run’ participants (@girlsontherungo). To quote icon @coachbennett - it’s about running. it’s also not about running. taken in Historic Hayward Field - Track Town USA by @hjfreeman824

Chicago marathon weekend vlog 🫶🤍✨🙂‍↕️

As I’ve reflected on this race, I can’t help but be overwhelmed by the sheer joy of accomplishing a goal. I’ve always put myself adjacent to sports - finding it as a great way to get outside and stay close with friends. But this challenge was all about spending time with myself. Pushing myself to see what I could do on my own. I’m so thankful for the body that carried me all this way. My brother had asked if running the race ever felt like an “out of body” experience.. and it was the OPPOSITE. I’ve never felt more IN body. I was more aware and present than I’ve ever been. Running is a joy and this race was a celebration of that presence and peace baby!!

To experience this with family and friends by my side (physically and virtually) was such a blessing. The entire weekend was a whirlwind and I wish I could’ve captured MORE. It’s inspired me to start dreaming about the NEXT adventure.
