Trying out some filters over tonight’s blooms and some without! The smell is overwhelmingly sweet tonight. It’s hard to describe but if I could put the words together I’d say it’s musky, very fruity, and pungent all wrapped up in a warm pancake with strawberries, blueberries, some sort of elusive smell that gives it an overall alluring feeling when it’s at peak bloom! Daturas for days! Put together my favorite MTG deck: mono swamp(black) rat deck 🐀, friend’s little one pulled a Mind Stone super big chase card for the new Marvel set (it’s the Hello Kitty pj’s for me haha)! 🥀Hello from my Poison Garden! Foxgloves (Digitalis Purpurea) and Pink Panther hybrid on the stand, Angel Trumpet is finally making its “V” and “Y” shapes at the top that’ll drop those gorgeous yellow peach bells that hang downward about 10-12inches and smells intoxicatingly good, Oleander smells so amazing by the car patio close to cherry hand soap, and then I planted my 20 seedlings of Datura: Double Purple Devil’s Trumpets which have their own distinct lush smell 🎺

I collect these to allow them to do their own thing in a controlled environment. Allowing them to take nature’s predestined course, they bring in night moths the size of humming birds and they’re super good for pollinating your day garden. I keep a safety kit on the side with saline eye wash, separate grooming tools, nitrile gloves, high % isopropyl alcohol, and masks (juuust in case I’m messing with the seeds again). Safety and education first before beauty!

I’ve been “bit” by everyone of these plants because of amateur maneuvering and mishandling them. Angel’s Trumpet, Foxglove, and Oleander: blisters and heart palpitations. Especially after watering and I tried moving them, these saps slap back!

When I first obtained my spike seed of Datura, I was looking at all the tiny pollinated seeds all day long and accidentally ingested the pollen by not wearing a mask. That was absolutely a hellish funky week of tinted blue hues and nothing but reflecting and holding it together, felt like I was inside out and had to trust that I’ll be fine and I made it out.

I’ve learned to respect them even more and keep every move and upkeep, intentional around them! I love them dearly and I can feel the love back. I feel like they’re thanking me for giving them a chance, just like my wolves I’ve met 💜 taken in Niceville, Florida by @hkh.beats
