In early September, ~15 collages will be selected for the ebook 'The Creative Edge'. Selected artists will be invited via DM to formally submit their work.

The ebook will be published by me, Aino Ellis, and will be freely available at ainoellis.art/collage-ebooks. It will have its own ISBN, so you can list it in your artist CV. Participating artists are also welcome to host the complete ebook on their own websites.

Throughout the autumn, artworks and book pages will be shared on the host clubs' IG accounts

Prefer not to post publicly but want to be featured in the ebook?

Email your collage to aino.ellis(at)gmail.com with your IG handle (no large file needed yet). If selected, your artwork will be shared on the host clubs' IG accounts with your name, so you're welcome to submit under a pseudonym if you prefer.

❤️ If you like this project, please help spread the word by sharing this post or leaving an emoji in the comments!

Hi! I'm back 👋
Apologies for the quiet!!

September was a lot busier & more crucial than anticipated, since we've made plans which require some great changes quite soon. 🍂

My beloved husband 🩷 will have to leave Finland for work in a few short months, and now we've finally decided that to keep our teens in their familiar school (like they want), I will most likely stay here in Helsinki with them until they're old enough to manage on their own. (They're now 16 & 14, and one is on the spectrum.)

To afford two places of residence, I'm currently redirecting my collage activities from my own art & communities towards paid events for international people. So I've been contacting possible partners, sourcing & cutting through dozens of books to be able to start asap!

And since it seems I can only stress about a couple of things at a time (and my quota was FULL), I gave myself emergency mental health leave from my IG clubs for the duration of September. 😆 I apologise for the ghosting! But I couldn't bring myself to look at the inboxes of either account - only occasionally checking my own. But I will try now.

Any parents here with a travelling partner, or a long-distance family life? 💖

We've done long-distance before, and very succesfully too (even got married!), but never parented from different countries.
