Press your space face close to mine love. At the Sideshow gift shop in American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. LOADED with fun gifts and unique stocking stuffers. This is a part two of the gift shop. I still have more to post. 😝

It’s been an up and down couple of weeks. These photos were taken out in front of the Baltimore American Visionary Art Museum the day after our 8th wedding anniversary last week. Monday we went to vote early and had breakfast together. Monday afternoon one of Will’s coworkers left me a message that he had fallen at work - hard - onto the cement. The man is over 60. This put me into somewhat of a panic. I did get to talk to him before EMS arrived. He was conscious and sounded ok. But all the worst stuff of a head injury like that can come in the hours after. He hit the pavement his forehead split open - five stitches and all day in the ER. He’s ok. He’s healing nicely. I’m having a lot of moments though where I am like “You could have lost an eye. You could have smashed your teeth all up.” And “You could have died.” Today things didn’t go as planned - my grandson was meant to come to town for Halloween, but was sick. Will had the day off so we got to spend the day decorating and giving out Halloween candy and just being in each other’s orbit. 🍂🎃❤️

Happy Halloween my pretties! This is last year. I’m a witch each year to give out candy. I had lost this hat until ten minutes ago! Must of conquered it with my magic! ✨ 🧙🏻 #halloween #witchlife by @hlbrookswrites

Went ahead and opened my moonlight-drenched prosecco and pulled a card with the election in mind. My friend came over with a beautiful apple and pecan baked brie we had on French bread. Pull cards and say prayers if you want but the best thing you can do is vote. #witchvibes #election #midterms #spellcasting

LAST MINUTE COSTUME IDEA - for those of you trying to throw something together before a party this weekend.

I went to an event with a very simple last minute Buffy the Vampire Slayer costume. If you’re looking for a quick Halloween costume idea this one was easy and comfortable and could be small or plus size. My only regret is that I didn’t have time to make a wooden stake evening bag. I ended up carrying around my cute little corset handbag. Key elements: red pants, black shirt, black jacket, black boots, and a simple chunky cross necklace. If my hair was still dark brown I might have worn a wig.

In my day job life I get to work with some pretty amazing people and I finally got to meet in-person Ricky and Randy, owners of Protest Pizza. Protest Pizza won some Washington Blade Best of LGBTQDC awards for Best Pizza and Most LGBTQ-Friendly Workplace. This event was the celebration party.

My last minute Buffy the Vampire Slayer costume! It was so comfy too. Key elements: silver cross necklace (plain chunky cross), tight red pants, black shirt, black leather jacket or black blazer. I wore my jacket, and black ankle boots. Sorry about the dusty mirror and IKEA bag - I was in a hurry on my way out the door. In person it didn’t look that dusty but the photo definitely showing off the dust. ANYHOO - if I had had time I would have made a little evening bag that looked like a wooden stake. Still might. I wore a color of nail polish similar to one she wore in the show, too.

This is the first time I’ve bought myself a plastic ring as an adult and I LOVE it ❤️ by @hlbrookswrites

We went to the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary. It’s kind of a special place for us. If you love art and you’ve never been, you’re really missing out. #charmcity #avam #romancestagram #longtermrelationship #couple

A very simple craft to remeber autumn walks with your lover. You can add more leaves easily as you take more walks.
Seal the leaves with a white glue before they get dried and crispy. Tie them to a long string and hang. Be careful around candles tho! #autumncraft #romance #romanticcouples by @hlbrookswrites

The simple mum can be so beautiful. These are in my yard and they just popped this week.

The sound of autumn is defined by crispy leaves skittering and being crunched. #imanautumn #autumn #fallleaves 🍂 by @hlbrookswrites
