Why my passion for tramways :
As a child in the 80s, in the metropolis of Lille, riding public transport with my brother was freedom and discovery. Discovery through this space and cities.
My preference was already unequivocal for the trams, its iron ride, the smoothness associated with the speed... and even the jerking... with the Düway GT6s !
So my TOP6 :
🚊 Düwag GT6
🚊 BN PCC 7700
🚊 original PCCs from the USA
🚊 cable cars from SF
🚊 Konstal 105na
🚊 Tatra T5C5
I'm member of : @trammuseumbrussels & @sfmsr

Why my passion for MetallicA :
It's the thrash metal band, it's thrash metal... the music that penetrates my insides and makes my guts vibrate... it's violent, fast and aggressive... it must be listened to very, very loudly ...it is also sometimes very heavy...but always powerful. MetallicA invented thrash with their debut album "kill em all". James' Flying V guitar... his "messenger" brings it to our faces. James' voice so deep.
Metallica with the four horsemen is a unique whole.
> Metallica has been in my ears since the end 80s.
> I admit James is my favorite : he is so much !
> I was lucky to have been to see and hear them at their home in San Francisco for their two 40th anniversary concerts !
> By extension I like hardcore punk music which is so familiar from thrash metal music.
I am fifth member of @metallica and a member of the MetallicA family !

Tramways - MetallicA - Das Boot : my 3 greatest passions (vehicles - music - film) !
-----
Why my passion for this film & uboot :
As a child I think I liked the confined and protective space of the u-boot (albeit a possible real coffin), the war story (🤷‍♂️) and above all I loved the charisma of the u-boot commander !
"The submarine warfare film sets out to present what a 'journey to hell' war is from the perspective of those who experience it." - 40000 german sailors served on u-boats during World War II, 30000 never returned.
A film about the humans involved in this conflict beyond the question of belligerent countries.
> I saw it as a child when it was released in France as a TV movie in the early 80s.
> And I admit that I have always admired Jürgen Prochnow who plays the role of the U-boot commander !
> My luck in 2023 to have been able to visit a real u-boot in Laboe and to have visited the Hamburg Maritime Museum and seen real pieces of U96 history !
> By extension I am passionate about the bases of u-boot and the Atlantikwall !
