Yesterday at Women Deliver Democracy was a powerful reminder that when women lead, democracy thrives! Here’s to those who resist, rise, and lead. 💪🏽💙#womendeliverdemocracy #womenwholead #resistance #womenoftheresistance #louisvilledemocrats by @hlrice01

Life lately and always: chaotic schedules… overflowing calendars… and a million things on my to-do list at all times…

Thanks for being the person who makes me slow down and enjoy the little moments and not be so serious all the time. The best part of the busiest days is knowing that I have a partner who without a doubt will “keep life interesting.”

I’ve been trying to find the right words for this post for a while, and honestly… I’m still not sure I’m covering everything. 😭🩷

On Wednesday of last week, I hit a major milestone… one that was both extremely exciting and so stressful at the same time. I signed the paperwork to officially transfer Messiah Trinity Church — my church, my home away from home — to Roots of Purpose, the nonprofit I founded in 2023. 🙏🏽

There are so many emotions running through my head right now. Sadness, because I miss my church family more than I can ever explain. But also true gratefulness — for every single church member who poured into me, prayed for me, and helped shape me into the person I am today. I would not be who I am without them and I’m thankful to still have them supporting me on this journey.

For the past few years, I watched our congregation slowly dwindle, and my heart broke a little more every time. I can’t tell you how many times I talked to JC about how I just wished I could buy the church — just to keep the impact going, to keep the place where I spent most of my free time alive.

So for the members of Messiah Trinity to make the decision to entrust this place to my heart and my leadership… it means absolutely EVERYTHING to me. 🥹🫶🏽

I thank God that this was part of His plan. What started in those walls is not ending. It’s continuing. And I get to be a part of carrying the impact we’ve made in communities all around into this next chapter, in the very place that built me.

To my church family: I love you, I miss you, and I promise to take care of our home. 💚💛💙

Passing out resources in Kenosha with my partner Robbey at the Annual Jacob Blake Block Party — because impact travels with us. 💛💚💙
Roots of Purpose x Clean for a Change means showing up, serving hard, and spreading love wherever we go.
Reason 2 to donate: We take the mission with us, no matter the city. This is what making a difference looks like. 🌱💫

Yesterday reminded me exactly why I love this work. I had the privilege of attending and helping make sure Women Deliver Democracy ran smoothly — and it was nothing short of inspiring. Hearing from women who have been changemakers and trailblazers in our party and in progressive politics filled the room with so much purpose, power, and possibility. 💪🏽🩷

This is truly my favorite Louisville Democratic Party event every year. It’s inspiring, galvanizing, and a reminder that when women lead, democracy strengthens. Feeling empowered, energized, and ready for what’s next. 😌

Time for the vacation photo dump because ya girl is only… a month and a half late. Life has been lifing, but the vibes were strong. 🤣💜

Happy Fourth of July, happy birthday JC, and happy “Hallie finally posted her trip” day.

I got to see my mini bestie, the full‑grown bestie, AND accidentally discovered my new favorite vacation spot and ice cream all in one Texas run! 😌 Efficiency queen behavior. 🤭🩷

Dropping these Pride pics fashionably late because joy has no deadline 🌈✨😌
Spent the day celebrating my two best friends and the power of being exactly who you are. Don’t be a hater — celebrate Pride all year long. 🏳️‍🌈

Life be lifing… so here’s my May birthday post… in July. Time is a social construct anyway. 🤣💖

My family needs our community right now.
My brother was recently in a serious car accident and is facing multiple injuries that will keep him out of work for at least three months. His fiancée is also unable to work after breaking her foot — so with zero income coming in, the bills are piling up fast. Their first payments are due July 1, and they genuinely need all the help they can get.

I’ve created a GoFundMe to help them stay afloat while they heal. If you’re able to give $5, $25, $100 — anything — every single dollar makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, a share helps more than you know.

Let’s come together as a community and lift them up during this incredibly hard time.

Grateful for an energizing night in House District 30 on Monday. We heard from two incredible candidates stepping up to serve our community, and the room was made up of people who care deeply about the future of this district. Thank you to everyone who showed up, asked thoughtful questions, and to every person who helped make these forums possible. Community democracy is strongest when we show up for each other. A very special thank to to the IUE-CWA for allowing us to host our forum there, setting everything up for us and making sure we had everything we needed 🫶🏽
