Hi! I’m Heather, the woman behind The Organized Nest. I’ve spent many years helping people make their homes feel a little less chaotic and a whole lot more manageable.

I owned a house cleaning business for 12 years and somewhere along the way, my job evolved into so much more than cleaning. I became the person clients called when they needed a closet tackled, a pantry conquered, a mountain of laundry handled,a household organized, and just someone they could trust to make things happen.

Honestly, I loved that part! So, I decided it was time to leave the cleaning behind and turn the part I’m really good at into something just a little different! I’m a tad obsessed with organization. I have a knack for seeing what needs to be done before you even have to ask, and I genuinely believe your home should make your life easier, not stress you out. Think of me as your extra set of hands with a label maker 😊

Thank you for the reminder to take leaps. Thank you for getting me out of my comfort zone. Thank you for allowing me to trust myself. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to grow just a little more. I don’t travel very much. Actually, I really don’t travel at all. Haven’t had a vacation in years. When I got invited on this trip I didn’t even have the words. Wasn’t sure I could even pull it off to be honest with you. It’s not easy for me to take time off. I don’t like to fly, and I’m definitely a home body just content being in my space with my dog. I just knew I needed to say yes, because we don’t grow in a comfort zone. I have this belief we are either growing or dying. That’s it. So, I chose growth. It’s not the easiest and it’s not the most comfortable, but here I am. Ended up coming home early for a multitude of reasons. At the end of the day we all have to do what’s best for ourselves, and for me that was leaving. I hold gratitude in my heart for the opportunity to go, and also for my ability to have discernment. There is much to be said for the saying when people show you who they are, believe them…… never been more clear in my life. This trip was an eye opening experience, and I have emerged a truer stronger version of myself. Onward we go! Life is good. taken in Honolulu, Hawaii by @hmdriscoll

Hawai’i as beautiful as you may be, you’ve been a very lonely place for me. A place where although I traveled with someone I’ve never felt more alone more invisible more unseen, and I’ve wallowed in that for a moment, but a brief one. I say that because that’s my own personal growth kicking in. I’ve learned to make the best of things in life. To find blessings and gratitude and tiny little miracles all around me no matter what the circumstances. When you’re in a place of gratitude it’s difficult to be anywhere else ya know? However I’m still gonna take a moment of sadness just for a moment and forgive myself for any expectation I may have had, and I’ll honor the fact that I just said yes and took a leap. I bet on myself and I’ve learned when you do that there really are no mistakes, just lessons. Not that I needed to learn this lesson again lol I truly didn’t to be honest, but dang it I was sure reminded. Reminded that god the universe whatever it may be clearly has other plans for me. I have to believe that. So as I sit here alone on the beach of this beautiful magical place I guess I’ll say I’m sad but I’m also proud. Proud of the woman I’ve become over the years and proud of myself for not wavering about the things that matter the most to me. Proud for not being out of alignment and staying the path of whatever this journey has in store for me….. So I say, thank you Hawaii. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with my soul. Everything that makes me, well, me. The mess, the glory of it all. I thank you for reminding me to be still, and that within the stillness lies wholeness within myself, and I can’t not be grateful for that. So to anyone this reaches, I just encourage you to say yes to yourself. Things may not turn out the way you expect, but at least you took a leap, and cheers to that. This girl is getting old on me. We’ve had a night of little sleep. 😴 and I am exhausted. She is such a blessing and a gift that I will be forever thankful for. Watching her go through these changes in her body as she ages had not been easy, and it’s reminded me to also have some grace for myself and my own body as I too age and go through many life changes. This girl is my ride or die and I will always be hers! Time is a precious, things can change so fast. Grateful to be home and chillin with her today. Grateful for so many things really. Just wanted to take a moment to reflect… spread some love wherever you go, there is always someone who needs it and it will always make an impact. 🥰 by @hmdriscoll

Happy Birthday @autumnphan I love you to the moon and back! Almost 18 years ago I met you, and I can honestly say, you have changed my life so much over the years. I hope today is a reminder of how loved and valued and appreciated you are. How many gifts you share with others. You have the biggest heart of gold, and I just want you to know how special you are to me. I’m so proud to know you and call you my friend and my sister. I’ve loved seeing your journey of growth over the years, and I feel blessed to continue to be able to grow with you and make the best of memories. Thanks for being the ray or sunshine that you!
