Happy gotcha day to my perfect kitty, Orion! One year around the sun with my little ball of sunshine.

When @someguyynick and I initially went to the adoption event where we got Orion, we had initially been thinking about taking home his brother but something told me to ask about our little guy instead and from the moment I saw him and held him, I knew he was the right one. Every day I tell him how lucky I am to have him.

It’s so hard to say goodbye, but he’s rolling around in carrot fields and playing with squeaky toys that never break which must be a dream come true for my goodest of boys. I had the absolute privilege of being “the spare human” for the last five years and I wish we had another five years together. Cancer took you from us too soon. I’ll miss our snuggles and chasing him around at the park because he never quite figured out how fetch works and those beautiful eyes of his and that long boopable face. Today I walked through CityWalk for the last time as a USH employee. I’ll miss all of my amazing team but I am so very excited (and nervous) for the next step of my journey. taken in Universal Studios Hollywood by @hmeinarson

The biggest thing I have missed since May 2020 was live theatre. Tonight I’m so happy to be seeing Hamilton, the show that reignited my love of Broadway, and to have @someguyynick here to experience it for the first time. To my player two, who stills plays all these games with me even when I get frustrated when we lose....To my sous chef, who clearly has a steadier hand than me and makes cooking together a joy....To my fellow nerd and creative, who always dives in fully to something new but makes it look easy...

Happy Two Year Anniversary. I can’t wait to get that third board game shelf and explore a hundred more different worlds with you. I can’t wait to see more movies, more theatre, and more adventure with you. Love you @someguyynick! I’m so lucky to have you in my life!

Happy one year to my player two, shoulder to hide in during scary movies, and adventuring buddy! From a theatrical seance to a whirlwind trip to NYC, PC gaming show to playing Dungeons and Dragons, we’ve done a lot of cool things. Can’t wait to see what year two will bring. by @hmeinarson
