Next Tuesday, Hockabots is hosting a STEM Scavenger Hunt from 4:30-6:30pm at Fretz Park Branch Library! We’ll have stations with super fun activities centered around physics, biology, and engineering. This event is perfect for kids grades 1-4 who are interested in learning more about science, and we’re so excited to see everyone there! We’ll also be repeating this on October 8th, so if you can’t make it next week, mark your calendars! by @hockadayftc

Today our team attended the FTC McKinney Kickoff, where this season’s game was revealed, followed by a post kickoff event which we were graciously invited to by the Allen teams. We joined other teams to review the game, and we’re excited to begin strategizing, designing, and building for the season ahead. #ftcrobotics #stem by @hockadayftc

Hello friends! Today is 9/6/26, which means it is officially 9626 Day!! For the first time in one hundred years, the calendar lined up perfectly with our team number, and it feels a little surreal getting to celebrate a day that quite literally only comes around once.

We are so unbelievably lucky that robotics brought all of us together. We relish every day that we get to build robots and compete, and create a team that has given us so many memories, inside jokes, late nights, chaotic build sessions, competitions, victories, failures, and moments we’ll probably still be talking about years from now.

Today, we had our own 9626 Day party, and getting to spend it laughing, celebrating, and just being together made us realize how much this team has become more than a number on the side of a robot. We love Team 9626, we love everything we’ve built together (robots very much included), and we’re so grateful for every person who has been part of this story. We’re so proud that 9/6/26 belongs to 9626, and we wouldn’t have wanted to spend it with anyone else. Here’s to the memories we’ve already made, the season ahead of us, and a day we’ll literally never get again. Happy 9626 Day!!

With so much love,
The Hockabots 💜🤖🦇 by @hockadayftc

This spring Hockabots had the opportunity to attend the BUCDAYS invitational in Corpus Christi. While we were there we gained new experience with teams from other states and cities, bonded as a team, and implemented our new leadership positions for the next season. It was a great way to end our season and we are looking forward to our summer practices. GO HOCKABOTS!! #ftcrobotics #bucdays 🦾🤖 by @hockadayftc
