POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

In loving memory of the amazing artist and teacher, Sue Maton of @themercerie, I am posting some of the results of my time spent with Sue’s instruction and support. I was almost finished with my Crojo Retro blanket when her family shared the sad news of her dementia and, quickly following that, of her passing. She is a loss to so many across the world and leaves a beautiful legacy.

I discovered Sue through an article about her gorgeous colorful Crojo Retro pandemic project that she was freely sharing with the world. I signed up for the newsletters, but my skills weren’t yet up to the task. That changed when Sue shared her new online Homage to the Granny Square class. She honed my skills and inspired me through her wise words and the fabulous community she created across the world. Her later Tessellation Nation project was a delightful challenge to my design skills, guided skillfully and compassionately by Sue and the community.

Sue will continue to spread beauty and kindness throughout the world through all who loved her. 💕

Taking Anything Goes! A Mixed-Media Notebook Adventure with @carlasonheim and Kara Kramer. They sent out 10 prompts to randomly grab from for the week. Today, I pulled “Glue Something.” Used some of my scrap gelli plate practice (from Carla’s class). That was fun 😁 by @hockettcheryl
