This was one of my personal projects I was going to restore. I even registered and insured it thinking that would push me to get it done, but it’s been sitting in the shop for a while and I have to face reality—I’ve got too many projects and not enough time. Really stoked to get these photos of Jawbone from Michael Lichter.

There’s something special about seeing a bike I built through Michael’s lens, after he has spent decades documenting motorcycle culture. A great memory from Rising Sun in Sturgis.

Another great experience at the Bonneville Salt Flats was getting to see Chico race his car.

He built it himself, wrenches on it himself, and gets behind the wheel and races it himself. Seeing his dedication and how he just keeps going, keeps trying, and never gives up really inspired me.

There’s something special about seeing someone who still has that fire and passion after all these years. It reminded me that it’s not only about how fast you go or what you accomplish—it’s about continuing to show up, putting in the work, and never losing the spirit to keep trying.

Spending time with my friends out on the salt flats is something I’ll always remember.

It was hot, sweaty, and far from easy, but there were still plenty of laughs and good times among friends. It reminded me what we can accomplish when we work together as a team.

I feel very fortunate to be part of such a great crew and to share this experience with great friends. These are the memories that make all the hard work worth it.

Rising Sun is rising. 🌊🇯🇵 at the Full Throttle Saloon. I'm photographing the bikes right now, and the exhibition opens one week from today in the “Gallery here. Now for a first look at two seriously cool choppers from this year's lineup:

⚡ 27-year-old Jelly Bean's "Crimson Lucifer" — a stunning custom STD Panhead
⚡ Aki Sakamoto’s (Hog Killers) "Jawbone" — a 1940 Harley-Davidson ULH Flathead

These are just 2 of 19 customs built by Japanese craftsmen for this year's themed exhibition, centered on the art of Kodawari. I’ll post more of the bikes in the coming days, and of course, Endo’s incredible paintings. One week out.
