Mecha doodles of the last two or so years. Having two brush pens of different tones colors does a lot. Thinking about power frame servos and the armor on top. Looking at cavalry armor' shields, sporting jousting armor of the holy roman empire (how lances are held in place too). Shirow is a favorite of course, Ghost in the Shell warly on had humorous 80s heroic scale miniatures proportions and got the torso ballistic plate for shoulder pauldrons that Yoji Shinkawa brings back nearly 3 decades later in Death Stranding armor plates. Corvus Belli Infinity too, and some "if I did warhammer 40k" thoughts mostly for Eldae bio booster armor' Gundam kitbashing doodle here and there.

Trojan Horse was a Unicorn Kaga event got me back on the setting writing. by @hokutoandy

I haven't shared doodles and sketches in a while. Steppe Oriental fantasty 東風 style. Doodles thinking of the Trench Crusade sultanate too. Riding dragons is very Asian. A penguin. Dungeon delvers.

Kaga City Trojan Horse was a Unicorn still feels like spirited away, the storyteller conferences so enlghtening and inspiring. Time to doodle and do more and make my way back to Japan. by @hokutoandy

There'a one shrine for horses, has fresh offering of orange carrots.

I had heard it's be full of tourists, but most people take pictures at the initial row of Torii gates and don't go to the apex, so got lots of nice solitary photos.

Wonderful Fushimi Inari Taisha! It rained lightly so a "fox's wedding" 狐の嫁入り! Lots of spiders on the less traveled torii gates, feel like guardians against evil spirits.

Tea house cats! I'm not sure if the tea people also keep the shrines they're next to. Some cats are in the greenery but opening your senses will find them.

The sprout between the fox guardians ahhh wonderdul. Moss on komainu, polished bronze leaping foxe fountains. Slept better after purifying at the water.

I touched the thunder stone once more! Also kmown as the sword stone 釼石, gives good sword and metal luck.

Frank Frazetta famously "learned anatomy" through copying all the illustrations in the 1920 Constructive Anatomy art book which is really good, so I did the same this week.

Hayao Miyazaki hates stolen art generated crap, so do I. I've met scammers and dummies into this IRL, made them cry in front of me when they tried arguing that only by giving money to degenerate billionaires can they do... whatever the fuck this shit is.

It's so immensely stupid. Ahhh this is the longest I've gone without physically kicking an idiot in their idiot bellies for being an idiot.

Picking up a pencil, a crayon, doodling on your free phone paint app, that's the fun of creating something. Typing out some words, speaking into a mirror, that's also your own voice.

Hayao Miyazaki's words on the anger inside him, how often he got into fights in school, it makes him more relatable to me. by @hokutoandy

Started the year at a cave shrine to Shiva. Was very cool down there with flowing fresh water. The shrine room was no photos, will have to paint what I remmeebr.

Was nice to visit Busan, great food kind people. At a hole in the wall great korean pancake place a grey haired Japanese couple poured me a beer, on the ride back a grey haired Korean couple shared snacks with me.

The seaside temple was nice, a group of europeans were selfishly blocking a path chattering in a language I don't know, so I walked through them and made way for the grey haired Koreans behind me to get through.

The temple had the same Guanyin painting as my parents house.

Man the beef was so good I stopped eating beef for like two months back in KL.
