Michigan pt.1 ✋🏼🦋🧡

Headed up north for a paddle board trip & to introduce Michael to all my favorite up north things (coffee). Spent the first night in Manistee so we could wake up bright and early to climb the big dune at Sleeping Bear. Despite growing up here, my athleticism on the sand did not shine. Michael ran laps around me as we climbed down/up the dune of death and upon returning to the car, I looked like I burried myself in the sand while he somehow remained clean.

Made a few more stops in Fishtown & TVC before settling into our cozy lake house. Stocked up on fruit flavored coffee and all our MI favorites (mostly jams).

June was full of paddle boarding, painting, and playing games. Storms ruined 90% of our plans for the month so we did a lot of pivoting but somehow still managed to have a great start to summer. Did a lot of reading, took the SUPs out in IL & MI, checked another bucket list concert off the list, flew to London for a croissant, climbed a big ole sand dune, and maybe got a bit too addicted to boggle. taken in Michigan, USA by @hol.lynn

Five star lunch spot 🥪

Our last little bits of Oregon 🥲

🐌Things I'd do again:
all the hikes
Salt for coffee (specifically honey/sea salt iced latte)
go tidepooling
Nate's Oatmeal Cookies (we went multiple times)
drive the coast
explore Eugene
more dinners at Norah Portland (wow wow wow)

🪲Things I'd change:
Florence > Pacific City for accommodation
more state parks
buy coffee in Portland and bring it to the coast
more time on southern end of 101
schedule a rest day or a nap (oops)
