abandoned 20xx

a mixtape of 20 hand-picked productions that have been sitting on my hard drive, created during 2016-2019. as the saying goes, “art is never finished, only abandoned.” during the first year of the pandemic i hadn’t been able to produce anything (although i definitely tried, to no avail), and i sort of walked away from it. for a while i genuinely wasn’t sure if i’d get back into it. luckily now after meeting up regularly with friends and getting inspired again i’ve been slowly getting back to it. i wanted to put these together and have them live in one place. if you have a system with a sub, turn this shit up high. if you don’t, slap it anyway and pretend you do. hit soundcloud.com/botaz and run it up. thanks for listening. 😌🫶

p.s. the artwork is a photo from when i was living in a warehouse in oakland with a bunch of homies. a lot of the momentum i found with making beats around that time came from being in that warehouse. shout out to the cvlt. love y’all, miss y’all 🫂 by @holabotaz
