From the beginning to the end of the school year... 💛

This was my Grade 1 classroom at the start of the year. Over the months, it transformed along with my students more artwork filled the walls, we added a sound wall to support literacy, and by the end of the year, we even had a piano that brought so much joy to our classroom.

Now it's time for a new chapter. I'm moving to a different classroom, which means reorganizing the space to meet new needs and imagining all the possibilities for another amazing year.

A classroom is never really "finished", it grows, changes, and reflects the learning happening inside it. I can't wait to create a new space for my next group of students! 🍎✨

STARBOOKS! Your classroom transforms into the ultimate reading café ☕📚✨

Students were given a budget to “purchase” their favorite drinks while completing interactive reading exploration activities, sharing book recommendations, and diving into literacy in a whole new way 🤎

Café menus, creativity, collaboration, cozy vibes… and students genuinely excited about reading.

Because when reading becomes an experience, engagement goes through the roof 🚀

Books + creativity + café vibes = the perfect combo ☕📖✨

From the classroom to the world! Becoming a conference speaker has been a big step forward. ✨️🎤

This weekend I had the opportunity to share a project that means a lot to me: teaching Spanish through music and drama. After years of experience, learning, and studies around the world, it was exciting to share these ideas with other educators in Canada. 🎶🎭🌎

I’m very grateful to everyone who continues to support this journey, colleagues, friends, family and the Spanish Embassy. And especially to @evan_lufty thank you for always being there and encouraging me along the way. It couldn't be a better way to finish that weekend. ♥️✈️

A time full of learning, connection, and inspiration.

¡Olé! 💃🏽

🇪🇸✨ West Coulee Station in Spain!

Srta. Fernández brought a piece of West Coulee Station to a school in Spain, sharing stories about Canada and leading fun activities with the students, helping our school connect beyond borders. 🍁

After using Candy Olé Youtube in their classrooms over the past few months they discovered West Coulee Station and were excited to learn more and even practice their English!

Their curiosity and enthusiasm made it truly special, and they are already eager to visit Canada one day.
