For 1,647 days, I got to live a lifelong dream of playing football at Clemson. The ups and downs, the trials and tribulations, all of it, made my Clemson dream come true. To the little boy who set out an ambitious goal, we did it. The dream was lived. But along with that, the lifelong memories and more importantly the relationships will be what I cherish the most. Forever grateful and blessed to wear that paw for 5 years. Never lose faith in the end of the story. taken in Death Valley - Clemson University by @holden.caspersen

Holden Caspersen
Clemson University

Clemson senior long snapper, Holden Caspersen, came out to Nashville for a two day session. Holden has mainly been Clemson’s long snapper on field goals and PAT’s (a very solid short snapper) and wanted to get some training/coaching on protection and blocking technique. Clemson is predominantly in a free release punt scheme but introducing protection is important and vital to his development. Holden wants to be able to display the ability to block and prepare himself.

In day 1, we assessed and introduced ball drills, footwork and hand placement. He adapted quickly and was able to pick up each drill quickly.

In day 2, we built off of the previous day, added more live rushes and put all the drills to work. Holden became more confident, comfortable and efficient. For never really being asked to block or work on protection, he did a fantastic job!

Holden is a proven college vet, the type of leader you want in your specialist room, very reliable and a great young man. I look forward to helping him refine, develop and grow into the snapper he strives to be. Thank you to you and your mom, Amy, for making the trip and taking time out of your summer to come work. Truly grateful!
