Tattoo ink typically has a shelf life of two years if it’s stored properly and remains sealed and uncontaminated. The best way to determine the shelf life is to check the expiration date on the label.

Here are some tips for storing tattoo ink:

Keep it in a cool, dry place

Avoid direct sunlight

Keep it away from contaminants

Don’t freeze it, as this can cause it to expand and break the container

Don’t keep it in a place that’s too warm, as this can cause it to separate
