๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi, I'm Sabrina! (Sa-Brie-na if we're being funny. ๐Ÿคญ) I'm a mom to BabyBrie, a furmom to Taco and my furever angel, Clooney. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿชฝ I have Alpha-gal Syndrome (AGS), a condition triggered by certain tick bites that causes reactions to mammalian meat and mammal-derived products. Simply put, I can no longer eat red meat or byproducts like cheese and cream. I feel like I can't share food content without giving that disclaimer first. ๐Ÿ˜… So no, you won't find me eating beef tacos, pork katsu, or a bowl of ice cream here for the foreseeable future. If that's the kind of content you're looking for, no hard feelings at allโ€”this may not be the page for you, and that's okay. ๐Ÿ’• While I can still enjoy poultry and seafood, this journey has also encouraged me to explore more plant-based dishes. Before AGS, I used to think vegetarian meals shouldn't cost more than meat dishes. Now that I've had the chance to try more plant-based dishes, I've discovered just how creative, satisfying, and flavourful they can be. It's completely changed my perspective and given me a whole new appreciation for what can be achieved using only plant-based ingredients. Whether you're looking for meal/lifestyle inspiration for a family with different dietary needs, curious about plant-based foods, or simply want to follow along as I navigate life with AGS, I'd love to have you here. ๐Ÿ’• -Brie #ags #dietaryrestrictions #newlifestyle #allergies by @holdthebrie

Unique experience unlike any other! โš”๏ธ ๐Ÿ‘‘ Feast like royalty! 3-course meal includes: - tomato soup - half chicken w/potato, garlic bread, corn - choice of soft drink or water - alcoholic bev available for extra $ - dessert, w/coffee ๐Ÿ– Accommodations available! I had veggies and hummus in lieu of the buttered garlic bread and a dairy-free sorbet instead of the eclair. Vegan options available as well, check the website for meal details, and inform them when you enter the castle. โœจ๏ธ Pro tips: - register your birthday to get the best discount ๐Ÿ’ฒ - it's a hearty meal, takeout box available ๐Ÿฅก - there are no utensils, hand towel provided ๐Ÿ‘Œ - cheer LOUD for your knight to do well ๐Ÿ“ฃ - stay after the show to take photos with the knight(s)! - dont want to buy a full upgrade package? You can still buy a coloured banner at the gift/merch shop for best bang for buck ๐Ÿšฉ - it gets loud, bring earplugs for young children or those sensitive to loud sounds @medieval_times #livingwithallergies #ags #allergyfriendly #familyfriendly by @holdthebrie
Elite New Brunch Menu ๐Ÿ’ฅ The Truffle Benny goes hard, and the drink lineup is full of fun little drinks! ๐Ÿฅ‚ โœจ Menu drops Saturday, August 8th! ๐Ÿ‘‰ It gets busy. Pro tip: make sure to call ahead to book your table. โœ…๏ธ Dietary & AGS Accommodations Note: โ–ช๏ธŽ Truffle Benny regularly has the sauce on the poached eggs and English muffin. Sauce was served on the side for me as it contains butter, and bread was swapped. โ–ช๏ธŽ Fried Brussels Sprouts regularly has cheese but that was served on the side for me. Top-tier service and incredible care that was over and beyond what I expected for my AGS condition! Our server even checked the English muffin ingredients and swapped it for sour dough bread for me. Honestly, I had such a wonderful dining experience here! ๐Ÿซถ โ˜•๏ธ (And no, I didn't actually drink that latte, I just threw in the popcorn for fun lol) ๐Ÿ“Enterprise and Birchmount, inside near the Cineplex #markhamfood #markhambrunch #downtownmarkham #ags #allergyfriendly by @holdthebrie
It's Friday! You know what that means? You can get your own starting today! Only at @titoparleys ๐Ÿ“Dundas St E and Lupin Dr, Whitby by @holdthebrie
One of our local favourites, this spot has a variety of eats to satisfy everyone! It's rare to find mackerel at a restaurant, so that usually ends up being @fillupphill's choice here. BabyBite typically has the bulgogi or kalbi bento as a non-spicy option. She also loves their japchae and KFC. And as much as I love a good PBS, I've never had it here! I always get their Pork Soondubu, which is super comforting especially when under the weather! @momskitchenkorean ๐Ÿ Unionville, Ajax, Oshawa Bg music: Pumpupthemind - Food by @holdthebrie
Oshawa Asian Night Market is here! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฎ โœจ๏ธ **ZERO admission fee** โœจ๏ธ **FREE parking** โœจ๏ธ Unique finds & market favourites โœจ๏ธ Fun for the kids โœจ๏ธ Live entertainment & more! Honestly, there was **so much food** that I couldnโ€™t fit it all into my stomach *or* this reel ๐Ÿ˜‚ So here are a few more things I wanted to mention: ๐Ÿœ *Bangkok Station* (@bangkokstation_911) Their Pad Thai is cooked fresh and served super hot! ๐Ÿ”ฅ ๐Ÿฅญ *Mango Fruit Snowflake Shaved Ice* This reminded me of a Melona! ๐Ÿˆ A fun and refreshing way to cool down, although Iโ€™d say it leans more toward a sweet candy flavour than real mango. ๐Ÿฅš *Filipino Street Food stall* They have balut for anyone brave enough to give it a try! ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿข Tokyo Fire Grill (@tokyofiregrill) Their chicken skewers were good! It appears they use the same sauce for all the skewers, and it really works! ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ‘€ **A few things I didnโ€™t get to try, but definitely caught my eye:** ๐Ÿฆ Ice cream tacos (@sugarpop.trt) ๐Ÿฃ Sushi dogs (@albi.sushi) ๐Ÿ’ก A few tips before you go: โœจ Thereโ€™s more than one stall serving squid, oysters, mango sticky rice, and Filipino street food, so if one line is too long, take a lap and check out the others! ๐Ÿ”ฅ Many of these vendors are ONLY available at markets, so don't miss out! ๐Ÿป Looking for the alcoholic bevvies? The tent is located by the stage. ๐Ÿš— At the @newoshawamarkets outdoor lot, so dress for the weather Have you been yet, and more importantlyโ€ฆ what should I try next time? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ˜‹ by @holdthebrie
Thai food isn't new to us... EXCEPT THIS ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ’ฅ I dined with some fellow foodies, and while we all enjoyed different dishes, there was one clear winner around the table: a combo that none of us had ever tried before... Khao Soi with fish! ๐ŸŸโœจ And WOW! Absolutely incredible. ๐Ÿคค The rich, creamy, flavourful noodles paired with perfectly cooked fish was something we didn't know we were missing! If you're looking to try something a little different from your usual Thai order, check out Pik Thai! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ What Thai dish do you always order? And more importantly... would you try a fish khao soi? ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ“Roncesvalles & Howard Park Ave, Toronto #thaifoodtoronto #khaosoi #gamechanger by @holdthebrie

The flavours were bold even without spice (we asked for dishes to be not spicy when that was a choice), and they were perfectly balanced with sweet and savoury. There's a lot more unique dishes I have to try next time, like the pandan leaf chicken, dungeness crab in curried scrambled egg, and the Pla Pao grilled seabass! ๐ŸŽ‰ New Filipino spot opening in Whitby! Check out @usok.ooo_sok for new menu items and favourites that they perfected at their Courtice stall. ๐ŸŽŠ Get individual meals or order catering trays for your next party, and don't forget the buko pandan! ๐Ÿ”ฅ Grand Opening March 28th! @usok.ooo_sok ๐Ÿ“South of Rossland Rd E and Garrard, Whitby --- ๐Ÿ’ฌ Honest review The whole family came down with pneumonia and I missed their soft opening party, but I was fortunate enough to have visited our friends at Usok before it all went down. I previously shared that their Sisig is delicious, but their pork adobo and chicken inasal (full leg) are absolutely incredible as well! I can't decide which dish is my favourite, but I'm making a bee-line the moment we're all germ free! Congratulations Von, Kathy, and team!! ๐Ÿพ #filipinofood #whitbyfood #durhamregioneats by @holdthebrie
New Filipino spot in Pickering! Just opened in November, we had to check out @gimikzkitchenandbar and so glad we did! Their chicken inasal is incredible! Juicy and flavourful, this is a MUST TRY! I love pancit bihon and this was no exception. Theirs is slightly spicy (probably from black peper) and Mini wasn't able to eat it. Their in-house dessert was a promo, so I'm not sure if they have it regularly, but it was delicious. And, Pickering, rejoice, they also have @titoparleys silvanas! Can't wait to try other dishes next time ๐Ÿ˜‹ #filipinofood #durhamregioneats #pickeringeats #musttry by @holdthebrie
