Bran’s Castle, Transylvania, Romania. Views from outside and within. Last picture is of Queen Marie of Romania who was gifted this Castle and spent time residing here. Bran’s Castle is also known as Dracula’s Castle. Although, our guide explained this was really just a PR move during the Communist Era to remove the Castle’s connection to the royal family. Vlad the Impaler may have stayed a few nights on his way to Hungary. Queen Marie was a much loved and fascinating historical figure of the late 19th and early 20th century. taken in Castelul Bran by @holleyfc
