After 7 years running in the UK, it's Gatsby's closing night this evening. So I'm on a delayed coach to London to catch the final performance.

I'm so proud of this show. We made it in a dilapidated old pub in York and only 6 audience turned up to our first night. Since then it's transferred to the West End, Ireland, Belgium, Korea and it's about to open in New York. It's the longest running immersive show in the UK and (once upon a time) I was the longest running immersive actor clocking up 600 shows.

Here's a few old Jordan Baker pics I found on my laptop. So we beat on... by @hollyrosebg

🍊 PLEASE READ 🍊

Finally able to say that Opal Fruits will be captioned for the remainder of the run FROM TODAY

This is not the integrated captions we had hoped for - we hope to have the resources to do this in the future - but the amazing people at Digital Four have provided us with their closed caption system.

We have 10 tablets available per show. If you require one, please ask staff at the door or on the box office when you purchase your ticket.

There are lots of reasons someone might benefit from captions during a show.

As well as D/deaf and hard of hearing audiences, many neurodiverse people find captioned work much easier to engage with and follow. The tablets are there to be used and it's a simple system. PLEASE DO ASK TO USE THEM, even if it's something you haven't tried before.

Turns out making a show accessible is hard and expensive, especially at the fringe. We have learned a lot this month and are committed to improving access as the show progresses.

£5 is still a lot, we're working on a PWYC code but this is what we have for now...

If you're hard up and want to see the show, there's a £5 ticket code here. If you need a freebie, DM me and I will see what I can do.

Goes without saying but THIS IS NOT FOR MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE WANTING TO SAVE A FEW BOB. The show is about growing up skint. I want skint people to be able to see it. Don't be a twat and take a ticket from someone who actually needs the code.

I will find you. ✌️🧡💜💛💚 by @hollyrosebg

Last week I did an Opal Fruits preview at one of my favourite ever places @knowlewestmedia ... It's slap bang in the middle of Knowle West, an area that's extremely similar to where I grew up.

It was wild and fun and extremely fucking cathartic 💜💙💚🧡💛 by @hollyrosebg
