Yesterday we said goodbye to our sweet Skillet.

Skilley was the kind of dog you hope every dog can be. He was gentle, easygoing, and genuinely just "happy to be here." He never met a stranger, only new friends. Whether it was a quiet moment at home or a busy day, he brought this calm, steady joy that made everything feel a little better.

He loved his brother Gus, and there is going to be a quiet space where he used to be. I know we’ll feel that for a long time.

We didn’t get nearly enough time with him, but I’m so grateful for every moment we did have. He gave us nothing but love, and we gave him a home where he was safe, cared for, and adored.

Run free, sweet boy. You were so loved, and you will always hold a special place in my heart. 💔 by @hollysmith710

Closing out 2025 the only way I know how: a little chaos, a lot of champagne, big laughs, hard lessons, louder wins, and zero regrets. 🥂✨

This year stretched me, surprised me, humbled me, and then handed me exactly what I needed (not always what I asked for).

More courage. Better boundaries. Bigger dreams.
Here’s to doing less explaining, more living, and walking into 2026 like we belong there.

If I could sit down with the version of me from 2020 and tell her everything that has unfolded since then, she wouldn’t believe it. The growth, the wins and losses, the lessons, and the people who shaped me along the way.

This season always invites reflection, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the experiences that carried me here and the people who walked beside me when the path felt uncertain. I’m humbled by how much life can change in an instant.
