For a terrifying minute there it was looking like @nhcarnivalldn might not happen in 2025, with reports earlier this summer making clear the need for an urgent cash infection for the Europe’s largest street party to go ahead as planned.

Fortunately the funds were secured just in time and West London was once again transformed into a vibrant landscape of Caribbean sounds, culture and around 2 million people enjoying the festivities — spanning flamboyant floats, weighty soundsystems, joyous Mas bands, delectable cheffing and more.

The antagonistic commentariat and mainstream news headlines who hate to see a multicultural celebration have been awful quiet this year, with a notable reduction in crime stats and an estimated £400 million generated for the economy, as people aged from 0 to OAPs travelled from all over in their masses to soak up the vibes. Notting Hill Carnival 2025 was one for the people 💛

Sophia I miss u

This was a start of my project about hair. Made this lil book last year when I lived w Fi of her hair routine. Our best times & conversations always happened when she was doing either her hair or mine and we sat in her room and watched Jersey shore. hair is muy special.
