So incredibly proud of Captain Tyson of Holoholokai Charters for receiving a Certificate of Appreciation from the United States Coast Guard.

Tyson assisted in rescuing a vessel whose motor & anchor had failed, causing it to drift toward the dangerous Alenuihaha Channel. One person remained onboard the drifting vessel, while the second person swam to shore to get help. Hearing this story read out loud is heavy and humbling, and a powerful reminder of how quickly conditions can change on the ocean.

This is who Tyson is at his core — a true waterman.
Calm under pressure, deeply experienced, and always putting safety first. The ocean is where he’s most himself, and we’re beyond proud to share this recognition.
