Our HTC Senior Government students had the privilege of visiting with current Iowa House Representative Blaine Watkins and candidate Matt Mohrfeld. As our seniors prepare to take Iowa’s required civics test, this was a wonderful opportunity to learn firsthand how legislation works and hear from the individuals seeking to represent our community at the state level.

We are grateful to both for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives with our students. Opportunities like these help bring classroom lessons to life and remind our future voters of the importance of being informed, engaged citizens.

At HTC, we encourage our students to understand the issues, ask questions, and recognize the importance of having a voice in our democracy. We are fortunate to have local candidates willing to invest in the next generation of voters! 🇺🇸 by @holy_trinity_crusaders

🍿🎬 Crusader Incentive: Movie & Popcorn Day! 🎬🍿

Our Crusaders had a wonderful time celebrating their hard work with a schoolwide movie and popcorn day! Turbo was such a fun movie to enjoy together, and the popcorn made it even better!

A HUGE thank-you to the Holy Trinity Athletic Boosters for allowing us to use the popcorn machine and to Matthew Garmoe for providing the big screen and projector to make our movie day extra special!

Most importantly, a big shout-out to our Crusader students for working hard, showing our PBIS values of Respect, Responsibility, and Safety, and earning this incentive! We are so proud of you!

Remember, Crusaders: If you are a Crusader, you are a Champion, because we are all Children of God! by @holy_trinity_crusaders
